Ever since the start of 2021, I've been having issues with the app. They keep updating it but it doesn't get any better. Every single day I would be fighting with the app upwards from 10 to 15 mins trying to clock in. I'm at my post ready to start my shift and the app keeps saying I'm 150 meters away. That's nothing compared to the constant Server error messages preventing me from even using it

Also chat function is really spotty. Reply: I'm not here to a test this for you. Tonight for instance, although it said I had logged out after work on Android, I get home and it says I haven't on the HTML. I look on the chat, and there are posts saying to use our Point of Sales devices to circumvent the buggy Android app. Fix it.
So far it looks like I can use this. Only issue is my guys work multiple locations and they get paid drive time between them. I want to upgrade for clock in/out at each location but I want them to GPS log in when they start the shift at one location, then GPS log out from a different location so it counts drive time too. Not sure if it will do that or not. Still testing. Having guys run it for the month of December to see if it fits our needs.
Used it about 7 years. It does everything it needs to do but isn't perfect so I'm giving it four stars. For essential services, it seems to have 100% uptime which has always surprised me. They've added and improved things over the years but changes are usually minor. Never used an alternative but looked. I would like it if they completely redid their chat to be more useful and feature rich like Connecteam, but I can live with it. I would like a supervisor only interface. Adequate & reliable.
I had this for a week for my new job and it was great. Push notifications came on time and I could see all the info I needed. It stopped working for a little bit, so I un- and re-installed it. It still works, but now it alerts me via text, not push notification, which is really annoying and there's no way to change the settings. Your options for notifications are "phone" or (I'm assuming) "email," which also would be annoying.
We use this where I work, and it is more trouble than it's worth. It has to have decent internet to function at all, which is a problem when you're travelling. The in app pop ups cover up buttons, so you have to wait for the unneeded popups to go away to clock-in/out for instance. Make the app function offline, and when you're clocked in the app has a floating tile (like Messenger) that you can put away if you like.
When it works the app is great,but it frequently has issues where all of a sudden it starts not recognizing you it says you don't have a workplace. Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling the app works. most of the time my staff is left unable to clock in. because when I work doesn't offer phone support. Sobif your account isn't working, you can't get help from them!! and there's no way as an account administrator to reset their account. Makes troubleshooting a nightmare!!
I have only used this app to check my schedule, submit time-off requests, etc. The only feature missing for me is reminders for days off, which would be incredibly helpful for myself, as well as many other neurodivergent folks. Most days, I'm in a rush and forget to check my schedule before I leave, which has led to me mistakenly coming into work on days off twice now. Not seeing a reminder should be a good clue that I'm off that day, but sometimes it goes right over my head.
The app has been buggy, frustrating, and poorly arranged for as long as I've used it, however it at least used to work. Recently, I started needing this app again, and yet am unable to search for my workplace, as the entire app crashes moments after the auto search (after typing 3 characters) begins. I hoped this would be resolved in the update I just downloaded, but happens the same way every time. No matter what characters I type, it crashes before I can type a fourth, so completely unusable.
Lawl, its cool. It would be nice to have the whole calander laid out for you when you see your shift. Instead of just having your days in a list, it would be great if it was a calendar. Or perhaps you could take access of our phones calander and automatically place our days of work on our phone calendar. Edit: I appreciate your response, and thank you for helping me figure out the syncing option.
Terrible. [edit] I already tried to query a problem with the app customer service, and their response was not effective. We can't clock in on the app. It does not work. When I get an email about an open shift, the app shows nothing, even if I respond to the email immediately. The managers do not see the preferred availability and roster us when we can't work. It is clear that there is no crossplatform compatibility for andriod phoned. You can see that from other 'real' user comments here.
Works about 70 to 80% of the time. When it glitches out, it will prevent you from updating/correcting timesheets, telling you "an error occurred on the server" (very helpful), or it just crashes. Not very robust as a program, especially once you bring user error into the mix. Convenient enough when it works, but often as not feels like one more obstacle to productivity rather than an aid.
It is very useful but it has lots of bugs, which need to be fixed immediately. Eg, it wouldn't recognize your work place's clock in spot, though you are in the right GPS spot to log in ,it says ," You need to be with in 100meters of your shift position", which forces you to restart your phone and the app, by which the precious minutes are lost. That's a head ache. Needs to be looked in to, immediately. It also won't let you clock out after the shift or brings another shift in to the picture.
This app worked fine for the past nine months, but now I get an error message that says, "error connecting to the server." I've updated, uninstalled, reinstalled, and I'm still getting the error. I'm guessing it's no longer working with my phone, a Galaxy S4 Mini. Also same error on my Galaxy Elite tablet. and yes, I am connected to the internet or data connection, and I do have location turned on.
It's been mid tier at best. It's simple and easy to use, which is what got it 2 stars. Where it loses out is, in 2 years of using the app, I've been randomly logged out half a dozen times, maybe more, and I've missed important work messages about hours and pay because of it. So, the app has actually made me lose money. I know it's not a phone problem because I've had it with 2 different phones with different brands and it's been the same reoccurring issue. Some coworkers with phones, same issue.
Too confusing. I just wanted a way to "clock in and out" to track my own hours (I am not a Mgr in any way, just a "regular employee") bc my job's system is a bit unreliable and doesn't give a way for us to check our own punches. But this app has way too much stuff going on and I can't even figure out the basic functions. Very useless to me.
Dont even bother with customer service, they'll give you a list of excuses but no solutions. Theyre completly useless, they'll tell you how to fix it yourself (surprise it still doesn't work) but won't do anything on their end to help you. Its been over a week and I still cant access my account and the more time passes the worse the problem gets, and they never even bothered to make sure that the problem was resolved they just left me on read after telling me to all but factory reset my phone.
From an employee standpoint the app is pretty straight forward to use. Schedule is posted and I am able to see my shifts, as well as who I am working with. Just like another user, I had an issue with my phone logging me out and had issues getting back in. However, the issue was quickly resolved I contacted support and they were quick in responding (and a real person) & knew exactly what the problem was. I was back in within minutes and app is back to normal. So 5+ stars for their support!
It seems like since the last two updates, this app has been incredibly slow, whether on my PC and my android cell phone (LG). It does not update the team schedule, my shifts or dropped shifts quickly, so by the time you see them, they've already been assigned to someone else. Workchat seems to be a little faster. This app seems to work, generally speaking, a little better with iphones.
When I post in Chat, my posts don't always show up. On the really important posts, I've had to text from my phone. It's random: it can be days, then I'll post and it's like it will trigger all the rest to show up in the thread. I'm a software developer so it's tough to see "flaky." I've noticed that if you type a 1 liner text, it doesn’t appear every time as described above. I decided to touch the double arrows which expands the text area to began typing at the top>>bingo posts every time now!
