I've tested a lot of reference and utility apps for firefighters and this one's pretty solid overall. The core features work well and it covers a lot of the essential calculations and guides you'd need on the job. And the interface could use some refinement, but it's functional and gets the job done. Definitely worth downloading if you're in the wildland fire service.

Description

Been using Wildland Toolkit for a couple months now. It’s basically an app with a bunch of handy tools and reference guides for wildland firefighters. Pretty solid if you’re into that kinda stuff.

Here’s what you can do: there’s an incident response guide with all the key info, you can calculate things like fuel moisture and probability of ignition, and it’s got calculators for pump pressure, vapor pressure, and more. Took me a while to figure some of it out, but the features are pretty useful overall.

Look, if you’re a wildland firefighter or just into that scene, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI could be a bit more polished – but it does the job and I’d recommend checking it out.
