Description
Been playing A Monster’s Expedition for a couple months now. It’s basically a cute puzzle game where you explore a bunch of islands and learn about human history. Sounds kinda boring but it’s actually pretty addicting.
Here’s what you do: By pushing over trees, you create pathways to walk around these little islands. There’s also a ton of stuff to discover – artifacts, ruins, that sorta thing. It’s got a really chill vibe, like you’re just casually exploring and learning.
Look, if you’re into relaxing, open-ended puzzle games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the progression can get a bit slow at higher levels – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want something to just kick back and play for a bit.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on A Monster's Expedition. I've tested a bunch of puzzle games and this one's easily one of my favorites. The art style is super charming, the puzzles are clever but not frustratingly hard, and I actually find the whole monster-learning-about-humans concept to be pretty unique and endearing. The open world exploration is a nice change of pace too - no rigid level structure, you just kinda wander and discover stuff at your own pace. Minor gripes are that the upgrades and progression can get a little grindy later on, and the ads can be annoying if you don't pay. But overall, it's a really solid, relaxing puzzle game that I've been enjoying a lot.
