So here's my take on Aether Waltz: Spirits of Sound. I've tested a bunch of rhythm games and this one's pretty solid. The mechanics are simple to pick up but there's a good amount of challenge and strategy as you try to keep the music flowing. I dig the evolving soundtrack and the visual style is really nice. The only downside is that the progression can get a bit grindy at higher levels, and the ads can be annoying if you don't pay. But overall, it's a pretty fun and polished rhythm game that music fans should check out.

  • Might not have enough depth for hardcore rhythm game fans

Description

Been playing Aether Waltz: Spirits of Sound for a couple months now. It’s basically a music rhythm game where you tap glowing notes in time with the melody. The idea is to keep the music flowing and the spirits dancing by catching each note just right.

There’s a bunch of songs to unlock – you start with a few, but you can earn musical notes as rewards and trade them for new tracks. And the songs have all sorts of styles, from serene waltzes to electrifying beats. It’s really cool how the soundtrack evolves as you progress.

Look, if you’re into rhythm games, you’ll probably like this. The controls are simple and responsive, and the 2D art is super nice. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can get grindy after a while – but overall Aether Waltz does the job. Worth checking out if you want a fun, casual music game.
