So here's my honest take on ARIDA: Backland's Awakening. I've tested a bunch of adventure/survival games and this one's a pretty solid entry. The story and setting are really interesting, and the core loop of building up your village and going on expeditions is quite addictive. It's not as deep or complex as some other strategy games, but that also means it's more accessible and easier to jump into. The visuals are great and it runs well even on older phones. My main gripe is that the progression can get grindy at times, and the ads can be annoying if you don't pay. But if you're looking for a fun, casual adventure game with some light strategy elements, ARIDA is definitely worth checking out.

Description

Been playing ARIDA: Backland’s Awakening for a couple months now. It’s basically a historical adventure game where you explore the Brazilian backlands, collect resources, and try to uncover the story of a young girl named Cícera. The core gameplay loop is pretty simple – you build up your village, unlock new crafting recipes, and go out on expeditions to find supplies and clues.

There’s a lot of cool stuff to do in the game – you can outfit yourself with machetes, hoes, and other tools to venture out into the wilderness. And the crafting system is pretty neat, with all kinds of unique regional recipes to discover. It’s got a nice survival/exploration vibe to it.

Look, if you’re into adventure games with some light strategy elements, you’ll probably dig ARIDA. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a pretty solid experience that scratches that village-building itch.
