I feel like I should leave a review because I have played 500+ levels. It's very fun. Some improvements could be made ( grid staying on, closer zooming ). I just like it. Only bug I have noticed is occasionally an arrow won't have a line on the grid. This game is exactly what it is presented as.
Reviews for Arrows – Puzzle Escape
← Back to Arrows – Puzzle EscapeI like the game. However, it randomly opens an internet page that falsely claims my system is infected with 3 viruses. This happens from time to time, often. It also has a running advertisement at the bottom of gameplay that created a sound like an emergency alert on my phone on two different occasions. It took me quite some time to realize the sound was not a real alert, but just an advertisement. They really should do a better job of vetting their advertisers.
I installed Arrows about a week ago and have really enjoyed playing. There is a glitch though where when I need more lives and it goes to the screen for me to click to watch a video for lives or to restart it freezes up and I have to click the 3 lines at the bottom of the page that shows you what apps you have open and close it then go back to my home screen and click on the game again to continue. If you could correct this I would be happy to give a 5 star rating.
Would rate an easy 5, actually 6 realistically. But occasionally you move an arrow while trying to drag the screen around. Perhaps add a settings option to activate a "confirm move" toggle? That would make things a lot better after spending 15 mins on a high lvl map just to fail due to accidents. Unless that's by design, then I would greatly dislike that. But all in all. absolutely phenomenal game. The folks on about ads, well they got a make $ somehow, it don't bother me.
very interesting game. my only complaint is that after level 15, it makes you watch an ad after every single level. that gets old quick. when you spend more time watching an ad then playing the game, it makes me not want to play the game. I will keep it installed for now, and I guess only play when I forgot that ads run after every level
Overall I love this game. It's exactly what it's advertised as and doesn't have any stupid gimmicks or "new" annoying obstacles. Just a solid puzzle game I can zone out and play for hours. However, I'd like to be able to fully zoom out to see the entire puzzle. The large puzzles are super annoying to have to scroll all over the screen to find stuff. The fact that every. single. level has to play a long ad is also very obnoxious. And $10 to get no-ads feels very high for a mobile game.
This is my favorite game in a long time. It requires patience and a methodical mindset, but is a really interesting challenge. There are ads between levels, but they are fairly unobtrusive, and there is an option to pay to remove them if you want. The only thing I wish it had is the option to select the difficulty level. Personally, I find many of the levels too easy, but I'm sure there are others who find the ones I really enjoy to be too difficult.
Best played using a stylus (it's a tight squeeze to hit), but good degree of difficulty & I like that you can hit the tail of the arrow if you can't reach the tip. I also like that you can play in "dark mode" so it's easier on the eyes 👀. The tracking feature is great for when you're not quite sure if it's gonna pass or not. Good Job..
While I find the gameplay very enjoyable, there is an ad after every level, so if you're one that likes to listen to music while playing puzzle games, it constantly gets shut off due to the ads. There is no option to remove ads, paid or free. I can normally overlook this, but the fact that some of the ads are very inappropriate bothers me.
I really like this game too ADS after every single level... I had just given a good review 2 or 3 days ago because I really liked the fact that it had no Ads. I made it through 75 levels with not one and then, all of the sudden AD after ad after ad. It literally plays like this. puzzle ad, puzzle AD. And their not shooter ones either, some are 60sec long. This is not a game. It's an AD with a puzzle game. very disappointing uninstalling.
Challenging. I like that levels aren't timed, so you can casually search for movable arrows. The dot matrix is useful. Ads are mildly annoying. One after each level, to get hints, use the grid, or continue a level after 3 oops I Agree that a stylus makes playing easier, as getting one line can be tricky, and if you unintentionally hit the wrong line, it's an oops. You are only allowed 3 regardless of the difficulty of the level. So far it doesn't require purchases
so much fun & kinda addictive. just when you think it's too easy, up pops a hard one. however, after 10-15 games an ad pops up almost every time. I exit out & tap back into the game to avoid the ad & it works. another ploy to get you to watch ads is you can only make 3 mistakes. some of the puzzles are huge. this makes the arrows tiny & you still can't see the whole puzzle. this, plus fat fingers, can cause unintentional mistakes
I like this game. I've been playing for a couple of weeks and on level 1159. It's been pretty addictive for me. I like the daily puzzles as well. My only "complaint" would be that the app automatically zooms in when loading the next level and will only let you zoom out so far, so you can't see all of the larger puzzles on the phone screen and you have to keep scrolling to see the edges. It makes it where you can make more mistakes or use more hearts because you can't see the whole puzzle.
Great game, very challenging. Three suggestions: 1) Please provide the option for the PLAYER to control "Grid Off" (instead of "On"). It's annoying that I have to turn it back on after each successful play. 2) Allow player to "Zoom out" farther to see the bigger picture. I often want to see the more challenging puzzles on a larger scale so I can plan my moves. 3) Finally, can we be given the option to "personalize" the background colors (with the exception of the red "ooops" arrow)?
This is a fast-paced game that moves from level to level quickly without long pauses or delays in between. I usually experience long delays with other games. I also have not been bombarded with ads. These 2 reasons are my biggest complaints with many other games. Therefore, I will be more inclined to play as my game time is less interrupted.
I'll be honest, I was hoping for a spiritual successor to the classic Unpuzzle when I initially saw the game. However, the difficulty doesn't seem to progress beyond increasing the grid size and arrow length. That said, the game is exactly as advertised (I'm just bad at reading), and well written with no bugs as far as I could see.
The all isn't bad. The ad for the game was the same as the game play, and you get to play about 20 levels before any ads start showing up, but in there lies a few problems. I breezed through the first 20 levels in one night and after that it was an ad after every other level whether you messed up or not, which is insane. On top of that you ask for $10 USD to remove all ads is ludicrous and greedy. Id probably do it if the frequency was like every 5 levels and the price was $1 or $2, but not $10!
The puzzles are all pretty easy and all the same basic idea. you just tap the arrows that aren't blocked by other arrows. the first 15 levels or so didn't have ads, and then I was getting two ads after every single puzzle. The puzzles often take less than a minute, and then I get 15 seconds of ads. I tried the daily puzzle to see if it would be harder or have a different mechanic, but it was the same. It's just fine.
I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I love the game itself, but sometimes the "board" is too big to be seen all at once on the screen, which leads to errors while playing it. When you shrink it down to see the 85% that does fit, it's too small to play, forcing you to expand the grid to play it, while hoping some unseen arrow isn't in your selected arrow's path.
Played smooth up to level 105, im on 109 now but I think im done, because after each level past 105, the game does not bring up the next level, it just says brilliant, then freezes. I then need to close out and restart for the next level. uninstalling, because that's not how its supposed to work, on top of that, the hit box for some puzzles is rigged to make incorrect moves involuntarily.
