Reviews for Clank!

← Back to Clank!

I am having trouble playing cards without the game freezing on me. I have only been able to complete three turns and then have to save and exit and restart. I love the tabletop game and the game on Steam. I'm very disappointed in this one. I hope it's just a bad install and not indicative of what the build is.

App stability improved since update in early Aug 2025, however still unpolished - i.e. one of the scoring screens now shows a "PROMPT.SkipToResults" label to the user aftr a game. At least the freezing and perpetual "screen-rumble" appears to have been resolved now. Good job Devs.. bit more to do still though! ;)

a good adaptation of the board game. definately play the tutorial to learn the controls even if you know the board game. zooming into cards is essential on a phone.

the app works great all things considered, but the AI for challenges is 100% cheating. my last attempt had the purple AI (it's always the purple AI) play 4 potions in a turn after having only collected 2 secrets, and one of the potions healed for 3

This is a great digital adaptation. I really enjoy all of the solo challenges they add to their digital versions of games. I think it greatly enhances the solo aspect of the game.

The game looks awful on my phone. It is the most cut off of all of your games. If there is ever a fix submitted for my phone size, I will happily raise my rating to the 5 stars it will deserve. edit: no update has addressed the sizing problem.

The game didnt come cheap and it has some glaring performance issue. 1. Turns are super laggy. After playing a card it takes 3-4 seconds for it to take effect. 2. Game freezes when taking certain actions like autoplaying all cards when there is a discard ability card in hand. Fix your game!!! Edit: Issue fixed, thanks. Appreciate the support.

UPDATE: Game runs better, however the phone is still hot, when playing. but it is playable. OLD: The game itself is great (board and steam one). However the android game is sluggish, draws too much battery and makes the phone TOO hot to hold. I have Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with enough power for such a game. The developers should think about optimizations...

This game looks good visually. The ai always plays fantastic in the direwolf games. I can win and so im getting the hang on things. its a fun game on an android phone, or steam. i see high reviews always for not only this game but all direwolf games. Once again, as always i am happy with my purchase. if i could refund then that is a no. I see a few good ones but most are cash hungry and are bad at making games. This studio has a very high success rate.

Awesome digital adaption of a great board game. Love all the challenges that Direwolf are adding to these digital ports, makes playing solo a lot more interesting than just beating your own score. I did want to highlight an issue that I hope the Dev team can sort out. On Samsung Fold 7, when you select small UI scale and play on Fold 7 in tablet mode, It works perfectly the first time you select it, but when you exit the game and go back in it cuts off the top and bottom of the screen

Very faithful adaptation of the board game. AI is challenging. Card text can be difficult to read, and the effects of some of the token items are not readily apparent. With only two maps, the experience can get repetitive; hopefully, plans are being made to port in the expansions as well.

A truly excellent board game in app form! Even though it seems like it should be obvious, this app includes all features available when playing it as a physical board game, plus you get notifications when it's your turn. I am so excited for one of my favorite board games have an app so I can play without having to set up the board or play with friends from far away!

I love the board game and was thrilled to see it made digital. My only "complaints" are that the RNG for cube drawing always seems to lean heavy on the player and the NPCs sometimes make decisions that have no benefit (or even miss benefits) to them - the just hurt the player (particularly when trying to gain difficult Achievements). I guess in that regard it's like playing with people. Bring on the expansions!

the Game plays extremely slow. I expect this when playing online, as humans take their time making their decisions. but when I'm playing against the CPU I expect to be able to control the speed at which the game plays. and even with recent updates it is still extremely slow. a computer's turn should never take more than at most 3 seconds at full speed in my opinion.... For that, 3 stars.

Unplayable for me - I have yet to finish a single game, I always end up with some action I'm trying to take and after I hit the interface for it the "end turn" button disappears and I'm unable to progress the game at all. I play everdell and dune regularly and have never had issues. not sure how something this bad could escape QA, I just downloaded the latest version and I have no expansions

great game, faithful to the boardgame. Even though i only played the boardgame once, I was able to beat the "hard" AI regularly after only 2 games. Luckily, there are a lot of "challenge" modes which add further difficulty. The "Heist" mode (a unique challenge every 3 days with a global leaderboard) is cool, but is plagued by HORRIBLE server lag (especially shortly after a new heist comes out, and presumably most people are playing it)

I like clank the board game a lot, and this app scratches that itch for me. it's a pretty good implementation of the game, plus some fun challenges. my only gripe with it is that the game has bugs, and it actually happens pretty frequently. The game will freeze randomly when it's my turn, I would play a card and nothing happens. I need to quit the app and then reopen it to fix it. otherwise it would be 5 stars

This is a great adaptation of the board game. it's super fun and the challenges are great. 3 things: It would be good to see a colorblind mode. The computer turn should be a lot faster. Even with the option to speed it up it is still really slow. In a four player game waiting for your turn can be painful. the challenge with the fairy (revive) doesn't seem to work properly.

I love this physical game & this port really feels true to the game. It's hard for me to enjoy solo days of digital BG ports, but somehow I really have a fun time with this one. It is a bit tiny on my cell, so some zoom function would really help. There are interesting rule changes, such as buying from the market or playing cards in a specific order. I LOVE the Challenges feature!

I think the game flow is great. It's nice to play a game of Clank! and not have to worry about putting away all the pieces. They fixed the online lag bug. Excited to see what other updates they bring. Can you please fix it so that when you look at your character stats during the game it does not default to the deck but defaults to your hand view?
