Reviews for Clue: Official Hasbro Game

Thanks Marmalade Game Studios for this classic, board game-accurate version of Clue! (Though you can still make accusations anywhere instead of running to the center area of the board game). For those who miss the randomness of the actual board game, this one will surely satisfy your craving. I really like the different look this has because of the animated 3D characters. Gives a different feel to the immersion. Now if only Marmalade can create the Monopoly Deal card game... 🙏

Pretty good, I love this game. However, there is no help desk where developers can see your playing records and correct a glitch. Like I have completed the lounge tasks multiple times and it stays the same. So I can't open the study key questions and get my new set of dice. This is annoying as I paid for this game. How do I log a help desk complaint?

I have an issue. So, I bought the new 2016 set of characters two days ago. After that, my games started glitching. An example of this is that the cards and note pad flicker from being blank on and off. It's so odd, but I assumed you guys would fix it asap. But even now, it's still happening to me? I have a Samsung S23 Ultra, btw. 1 year old. So it's not my phone's fault. Please fix this, and if anyone is going through this same glitch, speak up too!

Great app version of the game. Pros: love the online multiplayer option. The graphics are v.good. Cons: I had impression that if I'd completed the Tudor Mansion tasks, I would have unlocked the next srage, Black Adder, but it remains locked. (Unlocks by Purchase only) This is just the way the games are listed/presented that gives that impression. Overall I enjoy the game and would definitely recommend it.

Always was a fan of these games, I even have the other version too! After having not played in a while, seeing the characters in motion was really cool, makes want to buy a physical clue game with those characters! But there's something I would like to suggest, the notebook is too tiny, it's harder to read the notes when the screen is in a horizontal position.

I really like this version of the game. The only thing that I think would be a good idea to add is an additional symbol, (e.g. a key symbol) for the ultimate detective mode so you can better track when someone asks a question and to who. It got quite confusing trying to only use the symbols available. Other than that, I definitely like this version better than the previous cluedo.

I LOVE THIS GAME. I would honestly prefer this version of clue than the other one. This version is very detailed and just fun, and I always love the excitement I get when I find out the killer. I've had only 1 problem with the game, which is sometimes my SFX goes... disoriented and ominous while I'm playing the game, I don't know if it's a problem on MY part, but I just thought I'd put that out just in case anyone else has that problem. I love this game, though, and I highly recommend it.

Superb game. Only thing I am 100% disappointed by is having not only to pay to purchase the game, you are required to make additional purchases if you want the new locations which is appalling. Just one more way to get money shoved into pockets. One should only have to pay once for an all inclusive game, this should be changed or the initial price adjusted for an all inclusive purchase. I bought the game as it stated new locations, nowhere did it mention the additional locations are separate.

it's a great way to pass the time. it didn't get 5 stars for 2 reasons, I paid for the game and it still asks me to buy stuff and there's no skip animation button. I want to be able to skip the animations to go from room to room and the suggestions. I played Clue on PC about 20 years ago and it had skips.

I really wish I could rate this higher. The app started out decent, but they've removed the only function to see if there are other players. No one wants to sit for 30 minutes waiting for the game. The classic clue app works perfectly fine, they should have made the new one free with buyable content/items. The app was just released and it's already dead. I've also personally talked with someone from marmalade and nothing has improved.

Fun game buuut. I bought the game a day or two ago, have played a couple times with no issues. There is no multiplayer. IDK if it is my timeframe for playing games, but i have tried to host several multiplayer games and have not seen 1 joiner. To me, feels like a single player game, and i will retract and try to get a refund from google. Game is great tho, I just want multiplayer

Hm. I like the original version more overall. The traditional art of the old one was much nicer. These all 3d backgrounds feel the same and lifeless. The controls to be able to edit and mark the scorecard are more cumbersome here. I don't like the way you need to scroll. Original app game has much better controls for this. The one thing This version Does do better than the original app game are the characters. I love how interactive they are here. Kudos! I love Clue though, so prob still worth

Love the new feature and quests. Love that on single player you can stop midway and the pick up where you left off later. DON'T Love that when I rejoin the game glitches. All the marks I've personally ✅️ no longer show and the number of keys each person has does not show. Anytime I try to switch to a customized item (cards or solution pad), I can't and have to restart the game. Also not sure Why I can't add this to my family library. The last version I was able to add.

This is a functional version of Clue, featuring better graphics and more animation than the older version. However, one issue. Even on the hardest setting, the AI is kinda dumb. They know a part of the solution in one category but suggest a different item in the same category. One game I played, a player makes a suggestion that nobody could respond to, and didn't have any of the cards that match, yet didn't accuse, essentially throwing the game. Doesn't stop me from losing, somehow.

Not as good as the original version. While this version has a reason to continue playing with an overall mystery to unlock as you complete objectives. This version just isn't as charming. I loved the painted rooms and the little sounds that'd play and the music. Here, you're getting generic 3D backgrounds that aren't as visually pleasing. And the little details that add to the charm are gone. I'm also mad at the console/Steam versions costing more and not giving you anything for it.

I love the original Clue game this developer created. However, this newer version is pretty awesome as well. The graphics are crisper, and there's a bit more animation. I also like having a back story and achievements to uncover. This is a pretty good start. The only con -- I was hoping for an ultimate pack to purchase like the first game which will allow you to get future rooms and tokens at no additional cost. As it is now, you have to purchase each new upgrade separately.

Enjoying the game so far, but there's a couple features from the previous game that I hope make it over here. For example, when you put a check on the sheet, it would be nice if it placed X's in the other players spots for that item since no one else can have it. The previous game did that. Other than that, definitely enjoying the game so far.

It has 4 different rulesets to play by to keep from getting boring; a clue sheet that does most of the tracking for you, but you can edit it; online play for public and private matches; challenges with a small handful of unlockable items. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the terrible pricing for DLC. If you want a pack with a different style of board, tokens, and unlockables, it will cost you more than the game does. $7-8 for what amounts to skins versus $5 for the game makes me balk.

It's nice to have the classic clue starting places back, and the story pieces are a nice touch. The game is certainly more immersive with dramatic camera angles... But The art style is less engaging or creative, and the interface is worse. Forcing mobile users to use a horizontal screen makes the notepad awkward and leaves a lot of blank space. It's Clue, so it's fun, but I have to grade it compared to other Clue games. This can be done better - by the same studio even. Get the other one.

I love clue, so of course I downloaded the old app and got this one when I was pushed to. I have no major complaints about the gameplay, and I enjoy that there are new game modes to try out. The reason Im taking a star off though is because I bought the deluxe detective whatever pack, but Im still getting prompted to buy more. This should be all-inclusive, but oh no I can't get the classic characters? I don't really care about them specifically, but what else am I not gonna get for no reason?
