Reviews for Color Wood Jam - Block Puzzle

I play games on mute while listening to podcasts or audio books. This game does NOT allow you to mute ads - the same ads that can be muted in other games. And my external audio does not resume when the ad is done, so I have to believe this is some permission this game maker blocks. It's too annoying, so I'm uninstalling - there are lots of other similar games out there.

As with all these games that say "No timer, no stress" it is a lie. The first 19 levels had no timer. Still the mechanics are good and the time limits are still reasonable at level 85. I would pay for no ads, but it's $9.99 for 30 days of no ads!! Nevertheless, I am addicted and love the game.

I like this version of the game more than other ones I've played. I played two different ones, and once you ran out of coins their was no way to make more without beating a level or paying with money... sonif you get stuck on a hard level, you're just stuck... so this one, I have plenty of coins, and if I need it, I can watch ads to get help on a level...

The ad for Intro (CEO) continues to freeze / buffer, causing me to exit and then lose bonuses, etc. I can't report it in the app. If I say too repetitive, it just keeps coming. If I said, hide, same result. If I were that company (Intro), I would not be happy as the video doesn't play. Also, the ads are longer than 30 seconds. TOO long

The reviews not getting ads are clearly fake. I'm forced to watch an ad after every single level. When the levels are a minute or less long, you're literally watching more ad then playing. There are 2 options to end every level. One that's supposedly free, and another that allows you to watch an ad for a reward multiplier. That's awesome! I'd give that 5 stars. Freemium at it's best. But that's not what happens. I get an ad with the free option, too, but no perk. Find a better revenue balance.

Fun game where you speed run every single mobile game dark pattern between each and every level. Lots of great mini games like spin a wheel for no reason, find three in a row for no reason, pick a random chest for no reason.... literally a dozen amazing pointless mini games that require zero skill at all to play, amazing! Too bad it's absolutely ruined by making you play a block puzzle once every five minutes between all the mini games, coin collecting, ads, and upsells.

Fairly balanced version of the "block escape" genre. I think the art is a little childish, but the controls are responsive, the timer is relatively generous (so far), and there are a few mini games to play aside from the block escape. Most importantly, the ads are reasonable. I can win several games before having to watch one. The alerts urging you to watch extra videos or buy a boost pack are a little pushy, but I'd rather have those than ads.

Nice game. The ads run too long. when you have a 1 minute ad, that would be more than enough. when it's followed by a 30 second ad, it's definitely too much, and is what is making me uninstall. No ad should be more than 30 seconds. There should never be an "ad 1 of 2" situation.

its engaging enough but like most games, the ads are ridiculous. half the ads and I'd still get the point. I'll probably play for another week or so and like most games with obnoxious ads, delete. I don't really download games for this reason. also, the in app purchases are stupid and obnoxious as well...how many different things can you try and shove down a user's throat??

Soooo much more enjoyable than the other app with a very similar name and objective. The levels are challenging, yet still allow enough time to beat them. All of the side challenges are very fun as well! Edit- Holy cow! THE ADS!!! After every level, an ad and then you have to exit out of multiple self promoting ads within the game. About 30% of the game is actually playing, the rest is ad time. Please fix this, nobody actually gives their business to these promotions

Way too many ads/ upsells! Every single level (which can be quite short) has two unskippable ads after. You can choose to watch longer ads for bonus stuff. Then there are relentless prompts to join whatever "challenge" ($ to join), join a team, play whatever mini game etc. etc. So regularly there are 2-6 pop ups to x out to get to the level. I really like the game itself. but the aggressiveness of ads/ upsells is awful.

Played over 500 levels and uninstalled. A few suggestions: - The time between levels of a game should never be more than the time it takes to play a level. - All animations should be skippable. - If users are saying there are too many ads, there might be too many ads. - Nobody wants to skip through five up-sells to get to the gameplay. spread them out. - Gameplay is often stressful, especially on the bomb levels. It's easy to make a game hard. It's harder to make a game challenging.

I really liked this game at first, and it was quite challenging up until about level 500. now it is so hard you can't get through 50% of them without using your helps. and you can only watch one ad every so many hours to get one help. So you're forced to buy them if you want to keep playing. I think I have ran my course on this game and I will be uninstalling.

Really enjoying this game, including the little side games. Lots of opportunities to earn more extras. Fun interface. REALLY like the Zen Trials. Would like the option to turn off timer in order to help with a level or just to play the game and figure out a given puzzle. Would also like to be able to choose to move on to the next level rather than automatically be advanced. That would make it perfect. I've given in and purchased the ad-free version.

I really liked this at the beginning. Now, win or lose you get an add, bonus or not you get an ad. Seriously, I think there is more time spent on ads then actually playing the game. Then there are the mini games or spins, whatever might come up, that you need to click through before you actually can get to the game. I like to play, and while I understand there need to be ads for the developer, there should be more play time then ad time.

I even paid for this game only to realize that once you're playing one of the ad games for extra lives, the ad never closes. You can't watch a 30 second ad in 30 seconds. It takes you back and forth between the Google Store and the mini game which is the ad itself. Very frustrating. Also noticed that all these games are programmed in a similar fashion, free but not free even after you pay.

I like this game but I have several issues with the several issues IT has. U can't win the side games, like a race to be first, bc of the long drawn out ads after every single puzzle. And when it says "reward granted" and u click it to exit, it will tell u that u have to finish the whole ad..even tho it told u reward granted 😒 so it makes u watch it all over again. That's really my biggest complaint. The ads are beyond ridiculous, but if u can handle that, its an addicting game

Good game but way, way too many aggressive ads. I mean where you have to click multiple times to clear them, and if you're like me and listen to music while playing it cuts the music! 🤬 You get Ads unless you pay for no Ads. Now I can understand that but if you have Ads for the prizes and to get other perks and then you also you have ads running as a banner in the game. That's just too much! Then there's the random redirect to an AD web page in the middle of your game play. WTH!

In general, it's a fun puzzle game. Low rating because of the forced ads. After completing a level, you get a reward (30 gold). You have the option to take the reward, or watch an ad to apply a 2×, 3× or 4× multiplier to it. The problem is, if you select the option to take the reward with no ads and no multiplier ... an ad plays anyways. It really sucks and is a false representation of the reward. Unsure if it's a bug, but it seems intentional.

this is one of the better block jam games. yes, there's an ad after every level. that's not too terrible. what's terrible are the invasive ads that pop up during a level, or redirect to a browser or the play store without prompting. update: i like the added mini games. however, i do not like that I'm constantly asked to join a team.
