Description
I’ve been playing Dandara Trials of Fear Edition for a couple months now. It’s basically a unique 2D platformer where you can defy gravity and jump across floors, walls, and ceilings. There’s this whole mystical world of Salt to explore, filled with all sorts of strange creatures and secrets to uncover.
The gameplay is pretty solid – you’ve got combat against enemies trying to oppress the citizens, plus tons of exploration and platforming challenges. And there’s a good amount of strategy involved, but it’s not super complicated. You can just pick it up and start hopping around, which is a lot of fun.
Look, if you’re into metroidvania-style games, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever and it does get a little repetitive after a while. But overall it’s a pretty unique and enjoyable experience. Worth checking out for sure.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Dandara Trials of Fear Edition. I've tested a bunch of metroidvania-style games on my phone, and this one's up there with the best of 'em. The gravity-defying platforming is so satisfying once you get the hang of it, and I love the mysterious world of Salt they've created. And it's got a good amount of depth without being overwhelming. The only real downsides are that the upgrade grind can get tedious and the gameplay does start to feel a bit repetitive after long sessions. But if you're looking for a fresh take on the genre, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a shot.
