Had to update this. The built in resets just kill the game for me. Every 2 weeks or so there is a new immortal and you have to start so much trash over again. That alone is the reason I deleted the game. The Gameplay is great, the touch controls are fantastic. There are at least 3 monthly subscriptions you can get... there seems to be a steep pay wall. As many others have said, locking cosmetics to one single character is stupid. If I pay real money it should apply to all my characters
Reviews for Diablo Immortal
← Back to Diablo ImmortalFundamentally bad game. Has bugs that still haven't been fixed. Overall if I could put the game into one word it would be "lazy". Obviously the game was just made to be a money funnel for people with excess money and it worked. This company does not care about you, or your time and it shows in this game how little respect they have for their playerbase. It would take you multiple years of playing to progress whereas others pay around. Long story short, spend your time finding a better game.
The game itself is pretty good, it's right in line with the Diablo series. The mobile controls aren't even that bad, however, I ran into several glitches, lack of in game support, and once you reach the level to start playing competitively, the competition seems to be based more around how much money you have available to spend and less on how skillful you might be.
This game is fun and I'm still having fun playing it. However, it will be short lived. I defended the game upon initial release. As an avid mobile gamer, I understood this was a mobile game and judged it as such. However, after playing for a week, I can't believe how predatory the monetization is. The "pay to win" system is just too much. So, I'll play until my financial status becomes the roadblock and I'm no longer having fun. As will a lot of people. Also, monster scaling is a terrible system
so far it's cool, I love the detail level in the graphics it's always been my favorite thing about Diablo was it's environment it is always very complex detail, no matter what platform it runs in. The audio visual effect is immediately taking you into the world of Diablo 😉 that's something I love way more than game mechanics. It's playing well too on Android lastest version on moto stylus pro app 2024 OLED model.... not the most powerful phone but mid range runs fine
At first, it was great. The design is very mobile friendly, but the more you play, the more intrusive the micro transactions become. To the point where you're hitting a wall that you can't cross without spending money. I understand that it's a F2P game, but there are better ways to get money out of me than massive difficulty spikes and increasingly bland, repetitive game play.
So here's a real review. The game is fun. Up until you reach level 60. That takes less than 2 weeks with minimal play. After that you're at end game. More or less you would have completed the maps and bosses at this point. From here on, it's an endless grind doing rift after rift hoping to get good items. Problem is unless you spend an insane amount of real money, you won't get any chance of good loot. There are 2 main modes. Battlegrounds and shadows. All full of P2W. The game is unplayable.
Lots of content, BUT nothing more than a pay to win version of Diablo 3 from 2012. D3 already was a forever grindy game, Blizzard simply took that, put it on mobile, and give you the option to skip the grind for $. HOWEVER, this game only gives you the ability to get the highest gems/gear if you pay for them. TLDR: ANOTHER P2W GAME. Has about a week worth of content, but know you won't be able to cap a character without SUBSTANTIAL $,$$$.
Super overrated for the file size. I uninstalled just 20 minutes after downloading all resources. The game doesn't look pretty at 60fps, and my Samsung galaxy s24 can't even run max graphics with 8gb of ram. The camera is fixed at a set height, and each level is a fixed path of objectives and minion style enemies. The combat animations are also extremely low tier. Basically, the game is banking on the name, and it sucks. 🤷♂️
I always wanted to finish the storyline. line. I was really enjoying the game until it was time to defeat Diablo. 19+ million life, solo. It took me 30 minutes... then I had to repeat it again. He finally killed me 20 minutes during "Round 2". I'm done. A 600+ paragon Barb. 100+ hours spent and wasted. I get it. Diablo should be hard. I'm done with Blizzard. Whales only game. It's like buying a game and having to buy each new area your quests are in.
Big fan of Diablo 3 when it was multiplayer, this game feels like a cut and paste of D3 but scaled for mobile play. it's "open world" concept allows you to actively explore and kill mobs. It's not turn based gameplay. I'm able to play decently on my Motorola. The only downside is that if you take a break and come back the downloads can be hell. The initial download will take some time because it's a big game packed into a small package. It's p2w if you want to do leaderboards.
Do yourselves a favor, don't waste your time on this game. It's so greedy, and scaling enemies to players is so messed up, suddenly every enemy was killing me quickly after i logged back on, lower level players were surviving just fine, im not going to spend time trying to understand that. Just delete the game from the store and refund the poor sods that spent their life savings on this game. Oh and one more thing, there's really only one class to play, the others fail in comparison.
Was fun for a little while (I mean, a really little while). Then my client had to update, and when I went to log in I didn't even recognize my character. After trying to find out if I could edit (that is, fix) his appearance at level 11 with no results, I figured, "Eh, I'm only at the start, I'll just recreate him." In character customization, my client said it had to download the resources that I already had A WEEK AGO. I'm not going to waste anymore time with this game if it's like this.
Sadly it is just a bit much!!! The Playstyle is nice and all, but it is a space hog on the phone. It constantly has to download something that isn't even very useful in the early game. Now the upside of it is that the early bosses can drop decent starter gear. It wouldn't let me log into my battlenet account though. So there is that. All in all, I rate the game 3 stars.
Pay to win game. It makes you spend hundreds of dollars if you want to compete PvP. No chance if you don't spend at least several hundred dollars in upgrades. It uses every trick in the book to get you to spend more money. The program is actually designed to gradually give you less gem and equipment drops over time if you don't spend plenty of cash as you progress. This is really a slot machine gambling program cleverly disguised as the latest Diablo installment. Don't waste your $$$
Good game when it runs efficiently. Currently, the game is stuck on a login loop and won't let me enter the game. 3rd time this has happened... Outside of that, the game is very repetitive but interesting enough until you start noticing it's a Rinse and repeat type of game...again great for passing time. Just need fewer micro transactions and more in game depth and content. 3 🌟 due to login issues...lag and bugs
you can buy gems with real money and then trade them. not a game for me. Edit one year later and many of the bugs from the start are still there, and they decided to add 2 more legendary slots therefore expecting you to spend 33% more. update: wow this game has come a long way. you can easily get 5 crests a week in under an hour of play, possibly more but requires more time. lots of ways to farm platinum and actually make premium currency in the market. fun to farm platinum.
Diablo is a great game. however, this diablo is such a money grab. The battle net will just give up sometimes, so I will lose connection mid game. spent so much time in the game, the real money, so many multiple based methods for xp, and the events that only happen at certain times ruin the game for me. unless I am on 24/7 or having alarms for reminders, it's so frustrating. however, the game itself is diablo. It's so difficult to not like, but immortal is making it tough to want to play.
it's crazy how this game is actually good. you can ignore the monetization entirely for a *long* time. I played a couple hundred hours and spent $5 one time, decided I would never do that again, and it's been fine. there does come a point (pretty damn far in, I must say) in the game where your progression will slow down immensely. I'm not sure if there are mechanics I missed or if this is to encourage you to spend, but expect your progression to slow way down once you reach high endgame levels
Lately I have to log in somewhere around 30 times, not an exaggeration, to play the game. I get undisturbed for about a week at best then it happens again. I could excuse lagging and getting booted. That's kinda part of playing online. But literally blocking me and others from playing the damn game we've spent money on with no reason? unacceptable.
