Reviews for Dune: Imperium Digital

it's a great game and the app adds even more in the form of missions, but I can't give it five stars because I can't read the cards in my hand! I can only read the top half. this is a big problem for intrigue cards, I have to Google or guess what they do.

Great game! However it's a bit annoying that you are not told before purchasing that you will have to pay another £17:96 to buy the extensions or you will find it virtually impossible to play anyone online. I'm guessing this will increase like root has.. extensions are wayyyyyy to expensive for what they are.. shame..

great game. Unfortunately, if you have that tech that allows you to deploy troops directly to the conflict from recalling shipping, it adds 3 of them to your garrison instead of giving you the option to deploy them. The real problem however is, that the game will not let me continue. Otherwise this game would be 5/5

I'm new to this game and just learning the tutorial.....so I'm totally brand new to all of it. But it is FANTASTIC so far. Fun to immerse myself back into the world of Dune. No ads, No pay to win....love it. Slight glitch that some of the speech and text from previous messages in the tutorial remain on the screen and overlay the other text being displayed. But I'm playing on my phone at the moment so I'm sure it'll be better on my tablet, which is what I got it for in the first place.

Updated: reading other reviews, I learned about the UI size option. If you're using a folding phone, and maybe other devices that are larger than a phone but not quite a full on tablet, try setting the UI size to "small". And for the devs: it seems you should be more conservative when defaulting to "large".

The graphics and music are amazing but they really don't give you any choice on how to play. They force you into this draft system instead of just letting you choose who you want to play for solo mode so you have to keep rebooting the game if you want someone specific. And the game tends to give you the same adversaries over and over again.(Especially House Ecaz)If it's single player you should get to choose who you play as and against. Game gets stale with repetitive enemies.

Great implementation overall of an excellent board game. However, there are a couple issues with online play 1) Switching to another app and then back to the game sometimes lands you on a black screen. I have to restart the app to rejoin the session 2) if I am disconnected I can usually rejoin the session, at which point the UI helpfully shows me every other players' moves. But that is a problem if my play clock is ticking; a "skip to current" button would be great here.

This game is good! It's my first time playing this game and I enjoy it. Can't wait for the expansion hope it still dropping this summer and there is one bug, I would rate it five stars otherwise. It is during the tutorial, where it talks about special abilities, and when Paul talks about his special ability; about the card that you can see on top of his deck; the icon points down but I can't press the icon. I tried over and over and over again. So I just had to watch the tutorial on YouTube.

Man I love this game. I love everything about this game and how easy it is to play digitally. I was really sad when it only came out on Steam but now that it's out on Android this is going to be way awesome to be able to play cross-platform. If I could change ONE THING is that I would want something that shows how many buying points and how much extra attack points are always in your hand at any given time. Right now I have to press and hold on each card and that is cumbersome

I was concerned, being so close to launch, that I'd come across alot of bugs when playing but Dire Wolf Digital has impressed by providing a issue free experience for me so far! The boardgame itself is great, so it's little wonder that the Digital version is fun to play too. In addition to the game, I find it really nice to have challenges and skirmish modes, as they extend the longevity of the game and some fun variants to play with.

This is my go-to async game with friends at the moment. Some nits: UX: it's hard to keep track of which cards other players still have in their deck. It'd be nice if there was a way to see your opponents' non-discarded cards. ANNOYANCE: when an async game ends, the game sometimes completely disappears and you don't get to see how the game ended. Edit: Earlier version of review mentioned an issue w/ rejoining asynchronous games. The devs have fixed this.

Never played the original board game, but liked it so much that I ended up buying it on Steam as well as android. The game has a good tutorial and actual competent AI bots to practice with before trying your hand online. My only gripe is I wish there were some detailed statistics that showed your wins and info. Also, it'd be cool if there were some progression system. For instance, wins get you points to unlock profile borders, card skins, different leader icons, etc. (Don't make it MTX though)

What a great adaptation of an incredible board game! The board game (specifically, the more recent version "Uprising") is my favorite one of all time. This digital version (so far, only of the original board game) is really well done, and I find it a good way to refine my strategy for when I play Uprising with friends. I hope that the remaining expansion, and the Uprising version of the game, are on the developer's pipeline!

With the in-game interface, the cards in my hand are cut off by the bottom of the screen so that I cannot read them. Also, there is no zoom option to read them. ALSO, the zoom option to read the available market cards often doesn't work, so I can't read those either. The game itself is good, I just wish that I didn't have to switch apps to look up or memorize literally every card before I play it, so that I can tell what it does.

Always wanted to play the physical version, but with two little kids running around, it's not an easy task to organize. This has been awesome, and I appreciate the team at Dire Wolf for bringing this into existence. I'm looking forward to many more table tops coming to mobile, especially with the ability to play against an AI for when organizing group play just isn't possible.

Online Play and UI needed changes aside Great Start to a Great Game! The game needs to be able to be played Asynchronously when playing Online. 90 second rule is silly and needs a way to be turned off. There is a lot going on and you need a better way to sort through your cards so you don't accidentally finger the wrong card that reveals something so you can't take it back. Otherwise, great job on such an involved game, and the AI, to me at least is quite challenging and I suspect cheats. ;)

Cool deck building game overall. However the controls on mobile are weird. You must press with your finger to read a card to see what it is... however the certain intrigue cards are also played when you press on them and there is no way to cancel this action. This is really horrifically bad design decision that probably won't be fixed. Edit: After playing a bit I realized it is also slower than a real board game. Do not recommend.

Only could give it four stars. Great game, and great idea to adapt it to digital. Tutorial is solid. However, it's a card game app, and most cars game apps have easier ways, on mobile, to just... browse your hand, or flick between the cards. There isn't any option to do this. To read a card, you always have to press and hold on it. If you want to read the next card, now you press and hold on that. After that, if you drag accidentally, can't read it, now you're trying to play it?

The game itself is great, and the UI is well designed, but the app has some issues. It will sometimes freeze, then when you reconnect it makes you watch all the animations you missed while you were disconnected, meaning your turn gets skipped again because you can't take an action while the animations are playing, and then you get kicked for not taking a turn.

Good implementation of the board game. It should also work on a Chromebook, but doesn't. Dire Wolf use to let you join a game if you didn't have the expansions, but they've recently decided to try to increase revenue by making every player buy the expansions, not just the player that starts the game. I tried talking to their support, but they blame the Play Store.
