Reviews for Evony: The King’s Return

The commercials lie just like every other game. All I want is the puzzles. That's it. Nothing else. I don't want to build farms in my puzzle game. And the puzzles have extra mechanics that have nothing to do with what we see in the commercials. Stop lying in your commercials!!! The game is not "Exactly like this". It's barely even similar. Edit: Developer responded with nonsense. It's irrelevant that the commercial content is in there. There is also very unfun content that was not advertised.

For casual players it's good in the early stages. Once your new time is up be prepared to keep your shield up as much as possible unless you like being farmed. This includes clan members. They won't hesitate to boot you out and farm you for materials and quest completions. If you enjoy P2W games then this is for you. If not, save yourself a headache and find a different game. Also, the puzzles in the adds are limited and have to be unlocked. Don't believe their hype.

I played this game for two years, the ad they show will never happen. They just want you to keep playing so that eventually they can say "Hey you don't have enough coins so you have to buy them or wait 2 days for them to restock." I was an avid player, played hard, made friends and we all ditched the game after seeing the SAME ad for the game for a different game and same name. it's redundant.

What you see in their advertisement is in the game, but it is not the main game. It is a little side quest that they gate keep. As for their main game, it is a basic; start w/ castle, build army, protect from other players(castle shield), attack other players, get resources, etc... If you play, be sure it's not in a dead server. ie: more than 2 big guilds. The game is ok. I wanted to play more of the game advertised.

Evony is nothing but a cash grab. The responses from the devs on these reviews are comical. They are LIARS that only want your money. You have to spend money to get ahead in this game. The games you see in the ads for Evony are NOT the game, they are side quests & mini games inside the WAR game. They had to make them part of the game somehow, due to all their false advertising... technically, it's not false ads anymore, now is it... The game and the devs are trash.

game is not as advertised. I have no access to the game in the ads, just castle style age of empires wannabe style game edited to respond. only if you start on a new server are you able to access the advertised portion of the game. the fact that they said "keep exploring" should tell you that it is so deeply hidden it's not actually the main focus of the game. your support is nonexistent.

This game is very fun. beware tho fun comes at a price here. The reason I one star and suggest staying away from this game is that in-game errors happen, but the customer service for the game will not fix any issues even when you take screenshots that prove the error happened they still will not credit you your money or what you paid for. Beware!!

Just so everyone knows, don't trust the ads or the pix for the description of the game! There is no dodge and shoot or challenge to the end thing and the puzzles don't resemble anything like the one shown! It is a War game! It does have puzzles, but this is a PVP game!!! 😂🤣😂 Edit: Upgrading your keep does NOT unlock the dodge and shoot or challenge to the end! Stop lying to people, devs! It isn't funny nor cute! 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄

this game IS NOT like the ads. it constantly changes to have a mini game that matches the gimmick at the time of release. it use to be solving room puzzles, now it's the shooting obstacles and multipliers. but the majority of the game is resource management and getting raided by players in bigger guilds or you doing the same to others while you wait and wait and wait for resources. I'm pretty tired of these lying ads because I know how this game actually operates.

They make it look like this is the game, it's not. Evony is a town building game where you fight other players towns, most of the time youre just looking at timers. It's designed to cost you 100s of dollars to be competitive. Contrary to the dev response. There is more than one way, first is to constantly pump in money, the second is to become a farm for those that spend money. You can not progress or survive without spending money.
