Reviews for Fruit Merge™: Match Game

← Back to Fruit Merge™: Match Game

I understand showing ads at the end of a level, but to interrupt playing rounds several times to run long ads, ruins the experience. As much as I like this game, I'll probably delete it,because every 1 minute of play is interrupted by a "take a break" ad, and to remove ads from play, is $4.99! It's quite annoying...I can play better games with less interruption, I just thought the concept of this was cute...

Edit: I had ro delete the app. I just wish the ads weren't so intrusive. original review: The ads are too intrusive. I know ads help pay for app development. Please find a better way to introduce them into game play. Every few drops, there's an ad. literally in the middle of playing a level. It's annoying. To be clear, I don't mind ads in a game. I do mind when I'm literally dropping a piece of fruit and the ad break pops up.

The game itself is a great time waster and cute. However, the sheer volume of ads is insane, making it so that the only way I found it to be playable was with my phone in airplane mode. There is no goal, and nothing to work for. There is no way to know what a power up does before the first time you use it, which means all the free ones given at the start are basically wasted, which really irked me. I see that I get gems for daily log in, but I can't figure out how to spend them.

The ads!!! 😠 This is not a game, it's an app for ads to other apps. $5 to go ad free is NOT worth the quality of this game. If it didn't have ads every 30 seconds it could be a cute game. I used to think some other games I have use a lot of ads, but I now see them as basically ad free. This game sucks and instead of being relaxing it just ticks me off. Shame on the money hungry developer that created this app. Will be uninstalling immediately. Don't waste your time.

This game was an ad after levels within another game. I was able to play/test it out for several minutes before it took me to the "get game" screen, which is way longer than the actual game. The ads within this game come every 30 to 60 seconds or so. The game itself can go on and on, I'm assuming, as there were too many ads too close together, that it became irritating to wait to see if there are other levels. Deleting.

It's an ok game, but WAY too many ads, and the ads are very invasive. You Have to let them play for a bit, and click the button to go to the Google store, then click the back button on your phone to go back to the ad before you'll get an option to x out of the ad. I only played 2 rounds of the game but had at least a dozen ads. Hard to imagine there's enough to the game to justify $5 to remove ads, but I'm not going to play enough to find out because the ads are unbearable.

WORST CASE OF ADDS I'VE EVER SEEN! I understand the need for ads but I got an ad the second I opened the app for the first time and the ad could not be closed! After closing the app and reopening there was ANOTHER ad! After closing and reopening three times I was able to play for about a minute before another ad appeared that I couldn't close!!! They play the ads in the middle of you playing not between games!

This is so adorable and addictively fun. I found it on an ad in Empires and Puzzles and played through the whole ad every time. I read the reviews and was disappointed by the ad talk, but I tried. YES - the ad breaks were HORRIBLE. That being said, if you go into it *expecting" to pay $5 for it, and pay that $5, it's SO MUCH ADORABLE FUN. So much. ✌️⚡★

Edit: Now 2 stars. Uninstalled. Can't do these ad breaks anymore! Cute, chill game. Side quest to build a town by using coins you earn from merging into the largest fruits. Useful power ups to keep your run going. But the ad breaks are so intrusive and too frequent! I do like a mandatory break for my eyes but not every 30-60 seconds! Some ads are so long, when you get back into the game, the next fruit to drop shakes indicating you've been idle too long.

This is the type of game where you have to pay to remove ads & not to buy cool power-ups. I do not like such games so I uninstalled it a few hours after downloading & playing it. Also, the entire game seems to be what they show you in their ads; there are no varying levels of complexity or side games, so it gets boring quite quickly, add to this the constant ads that pop up while you're in the middle of play & this is not a good game at all in my opinion.

The amount of ads are overwhelming, and most of the ads don't work and cause the game to freeze. You can pay $4.99 to remove the ads, but the game should be able to work fine without paying for the ad-free version. Overall it is a cute game and is as advertised. It is, however, too frustrating to always need to restart the game due to a game freeze caused by the required ads, so I will be deleting it.

I uninstalled because there are ads every 30 seconds. I would be okay if they were at the end of the round or at least spaced better but to interrupt gameplay every 30 seconds is obnoxious and not even close to standard for the industry. It is very deceptive to say that there is a free version of the game but have the ads make the free version unplayable. Based on that level of sneakiness I will purchase a different game rather than pay for this one to be add free. Just be honest-is pay2playgame

Game leaves a lot to be desired, average play time between ads is 45 seconds, physics system is complete trash, the art work for levels is awful and unskipable taking. There's a count down for the ads to play so you get an ad before your ad. Game crashes and freezes quite a bit. 1 star was generous. There are good sphere merge games, this isn't one of them. 1 star is generous.

I really liked this at first. It's easy and cute. The ads really ramp up too though. So many ads! and the games gets very buggy. Not functioning in all sorts of ways. Mostly it won't load after all the ads. Then the game won't function, so I close it and then have to watch more ads! It's way too much. ALSO once you upgrade to a certain level in town there's nothing to upgrade anymore. There's lots of Coming Soon and Under Construction signs and clouds but it's not showed up!

The game, on its own, is fun, but I've NEVER played a game in which I am stopped every 60 seconds and forced to watch a 120 second ad AS I AM PLAYING THE GAME! The interruptions happen MID GAME! It takes you out of the moment and the ads are way too long. There is a smarter way to utilize ads and this is not it! It's a shame, really. The game has a lot of potential, but the developers got a little greedy

The many layers of ads are overwhelming, the constant mid-level interruptions break up the flow of gameplay, and the game freezes frequently. Paying 4.99 to remove them is exorbitant, and on top of all this, there's still paid content. You'd make more money if you charged a small amount to download. The game is also a battery hog. It's a cute take on the merge genre, but I can't continue playing it as is.

It had the potential to be enjoyable, but the ads are "over the top." More time is spent wading through ads than time spent playing the game. Maybe 30 seconds of play before the "break for an ad" message pops up. The timer for one ad is about 25 to 30 seconds, and sometimes, it is followed by a second ad. "Time" to uninstall and look for a similar game with less ads.

OMG the amount of ads in this game is COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE!!! Literally every 45 seconds to 1 minute an ad. And some of them are inappropriate for kids! Add an info button to explain what the power ups do. Instead of using one to find out what it's for. If you didn't need it, you've just wasted it for nothing. Unlocking scenes takes forever! Make it an instant thing and not some fade in graphic. Overall a good game but too tedious to play. Unfortunately I'll be uninstalling =(

You can go on infinitely if you're willing to watch ads, but not sure why you would do that, because more points doesn't necessarily mean anything. I actually don't think this game has a point, which means no objectives, and the dopamine of thinking you're doing well wears off very quickly when you realize this "game" is nothing more than an ad grab, which you are forced to randomly watch mid-round.

A demo version of this game appeared in one of my other games. The demo was cute, so I downloaded the game without reading reviews first. Big mistake! Advertisements interrupt game play about every 10 moves or so & are long enough to entirely eradicate the dopamine pop we get from playing games so, for me, the free (ad supported) version is not worth playing. Because the ads begin immediately, I couldn't play long enough to be enticed to pay for the ad-free version.
