So here's my take on Galactica. I've tested a bunch of these casual arcade games for Wear OS, and this one's actually pretty solid. The retro-style graphics look great, and the gameplay is simple but challenging enough to keep you coming back. And the randomized levels are a nice touch too - prevents it from getting stale too quickly. Only real downside is the motion controls can be hit or miss. But if you don't mind using the dial or touch screen, it's a pretty fun little shooter that's perfect for quick gaming sessions on your smartwatch.

Description

Been playing Galactica for a couple months now. It’s basically a classic arcade-style shooter game, but for smartwatches. Pretty solid if you’re into these kind of retro shooter games.

Here’s what you do: you’ve got this ship that you control using the watch’s rotary dial, touch screen, or motion controls. The goal is to blast through waves of enemy ships and obstacles. There’s also different levels with randomized layouts, so the gameplay never gets too repetitive.

Look, if you’re a fan of old-school arcade games, you’ll probably dig Galactica. It’s not perfect – the motion controls can be a bit finicky sometimes – but overall it’s a fun time-killer that works great on a smartwatch.
