Been playing Goat Simulator Payday for a couple months now. It’s basically a wacky game where you control a bunch of different goofy animals – a flying flamingo, a wheelchair dolphin, a spitting camel, and a handsome goat – and you have to pull off all kinds of ridiculous heists and crimes. There’s a whole system called PRANKNET that lets you find smash and grab jobs, then you can use the money you steal to buy all sorts of crazy masks. The best part is when you have to escape the cops by jacking other people’s cars. It’s like an Al Pancake movie but with animals instead of actual crooks.
The gameplay loop is pretty simple but addicting. You pick a character, do some silly crime, get chased by the fuzz, then blow your loot on masks. And repeat. There’s a good variety of missions and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Definitely a game that doesn’t require too much brain power, just mindless goat chaos.
Look, if you’re into wacky, physics-based sim games, you’ll probably get a kick out of Goat Simulator Payday. It’s not the most polished game ever but it knows what it is and it’s just pure fun. Downsides are that it can get a little repetitive after a while and the upgrades take forever. But overall, it’s a solid timewaster that’ll make you laugh.
