The game is nothing like their ads and the responses they leave to reviews stating this is hilarious. "Maybe you will see such gameplay one day! Creation of new features is not a quick process, and it requires patience :)" Welcome to app development! Of course it takes time. But to mislead people based on ads that aren't remotely simular is just wrong. Why spend time and money on ads when content isn't remotely the same? They are just going for download/install count over daily active users.
Reviews for Gold and Goblins: Mining Games
← Back to Gold and Goblins: Mining GamesThe game is nothing like the adds. the add depicts driving a bulldozer around to unlock level ups and make your ride larger. The game has you buying goblin workers to mine for resources that level up the miners and passive income generators. Once you make it past the first couple levels you get stuck waiting for the goblins to mine through to the next level.
good and fun game, however, I will not change my rating until you remove the scam ads (especially Testerup and solitaire clash/ cash). I call these apps scams because, first, they claim to pay you money, but don't, and second, the ads for these games won't let you leave the ad and go back to the game I want to play. if the ads didn't interfere with the game, (I can't be rewarded if I can't close the ad) I would enjoy it alot more.
Another false advert game that shows fun coin/bulldozer gameplay in ads, then offers ZERO of that gameplay, to bait/switch w/ another rock breaking snorefest. That's the new thing now, y'know?? every game from here to Township touts that type of ad but for some reason this type of gameplay is FORBIDDEN to actually give us. but hey as the 'devs' always say " but maybe someday you'll get this, it takes time!" time to not lie? I guess.. not the 1st game to do this to me, so already uninstalled.
This game was nothing close to what was depicted in the ad. Instead, it's hours and hours of the same mindless repetitive task. Quite often you'll find yourself with nothing to do for 3-5 hours at a time while you wait for the dumb goblins to open a gate or activate a mineshaft. The "events" in this game only draw more attention to the fact that the regular gameplay sucks.
honestly disappointed.. not only does it absolutely take forever but sometimes in order to finish one mind you have to do three passes. basically what the game is nothing like the ads. All you do is sit there and wait for hours and then move a goblin up and go on to the next rock. If you want you can purchase some things but I wish there was a way to watch ads or something to get more coins because it takes forever to upgrade.
The ads for this game do NOT accurately depict the actual gameplay. There is not a lot of interaction between you and the game. 95% of the time there is just idle mining, waiting for goblins to hammer and drill out gold and other precious metals. Once they are done, you finally get to drive an excavator over rocks for about 15 -20 seconds, then it's off to watch the idle mining of the goblins again. I wish the developers would have been more truthful in their ads. Disappointing 😠
Game used to be ok. I've played on and off when I had some time to kill. Now the ads are ridiculous. you used to be able to watch them, click the "x", and go right back to the game. Now you watch their animation, then have a way-too-long timer, then it takes you to the apps store, then when you close that, you go back to the ad, then finally, after another delay, you can close the ad and go back to the game. Sorry, game's not interesting enough to have to deal with all that.
Not a thing like the adds said it would be. Tried it for a long time anyway, was fun but mostly aggravating. The adds you can watch usually force open googleplay, when you can finally get out of it the game itself needs to reload and it claims you never watched the add for the reward. Probably their way of getting paid to show the add but they want you to watch a lot more of them to get the one reward. Finally got fed up enough to quit
I love this game. It's an idle mining game with 2 mines. There is a main mine that you continually work your way through, and usually an event mine that moves a bit faster and gives you prizes you can use on the main mine. With only 2 mines I never feel like I'm required to spend a lot of time. Paying for no ads is well worth it. I can ignore the game for months and when I return its still the same game. When I'm in the mood to binge there is enough to keep me entertained 🙂
the game is NOT like it shows in the ad. You don't drive a machine through mountains of gold or drag rocks for machines to break. The game is just a huge time waster and has a ton of ads. the more mines you do the more time it takes even 6 hours to get through some mines. If you are trying to make money then it will take 40 plus hours a week just to get maybe $10. not worth the time and effort.
It's ok, but constant ads really puts a damper on the game. At firsts it was better with ads only lasting 30 secs, now they all 60 secs or more. Which makes the game very tedious to play, unless you spend money to be able to advance quicker, which I believe is the game makers goal to increase their ability to make more money. Since I made my goal in another game of free gems. I'll be uninstall this one with my warning to others. As this game comes at a cost of money or time.
1. Not at ALL the game shown in the ads. 2. No skill required. It just takes time. Goblins are literally breaking rocks. You watch them break rocks. 3. This is also ingenious because it gets you to check into the game constantly to progress. The game designers create a lot of urgency, but one more obligation isn't what my life needs. 4. Watch ads to progress faster! Finish a level? Have another ad!
Got a new phone and re downloaded the game. All my progress gone and I spent money on the game. Not only that but man did this game get the biggest DOWNGRADE ever. This game has allways had a focus on events. The difference now is that a couple of years ago the events, while a little tight, were completable without spending money which made them really fun. Now though there is no way in hell. You are lucky if you can get more than half the keys. It sucks all the fun out of the events.
After having this for about a year and reaching Mine 43 without buying any upgrades, it's become a chore. At first the experience of this idle game is pretty fun despite it not being like the advertisements. But after reaching a certain point it takes literal hours to progress, which could be attributed to the developer(s) wanting you to buy materials for upgrades via microtransactions. Unless you have money to just throw away and for a mobile game don't play this game.
If the game was like what the ads for the game what the actual game was like. It would be awesome but it is far from it. I've made it to mine 115 out of 145 but the events are decent but haven't figured out how to get in the top 10 or even 1st without spending $$. Gave it 4 stars since I enjoy playing & slowly honing my skill in the events. It was worth paying to remove all ads!
Pointless infinite grind. Graphics are cute but the entire point of the game is to erode your patience so you can break down and buy items. Every level is the same exact grind, only to get to the next level which is slower than the previous one. Edit: now there are timed events, designed to pull even more money from you. Yes, purchases are optional, if you don't care about getting far. The multipliers are tuned against you, so you MUST spend more and more to make timely progress.
False advertising, but ok game, even if it isn't the one in the ads. Ads are optional, but progress is minimal without them, so "optional" is a stretch. Ads are super predatory and open the other app even when you hit the "X". Ad free is $15 usd at the moment, which isn't worth it. Pretty ok game otherwise. Wouldn't recommend.
Game is nothing like the ads, which is a bit disappointing, which is why I took off one star. Despite that, I do enjoy the game. Once you reach a certain level, progress does move very slow. The events can de almost impossible to finish. In over a year of playing I am yet to be able to finish an event. Overall, I really do enjoy this game and find it a great way to relax and spend some time. It's a go-to for me when I need to relax.
False advertising ads. Pick at rocks, rush mines, automate to receive income, rush gates to unlock rewards, go back for rocks. That's all there is. The mini game is a few seconds of driving for rewards. Takes time to play; goblins do not automatically move forward. You can win events by using gems but there is strategy required, and you have to play nonstop. Mine level 40, short 52,000 pink potions, requires spending to automate mines, or take all events seriously. Hard to play while working.
