So here's my honest take on Highwind. I've tested a bunch of strategy games on mobile and this one's actually pretty solid. The core gameplay loop of flying your paper plane, blasting enemies, and upgrading your stats is really addictive. And the different dimensions and power-ups keep things fresh. Not gonna lie though, the difficulty ramps up pretty quick and the grind to upgrade gets old fast. But if you don't mind a little repetition, it's a fun game to pick up and play in short bursts.

Description

Been playing Highwind for a couple months now. It’s basically a game where you control a paper plane and have to destroy enemy planes while protecting your own. You’ve got two buttons – one shoots bullets and the other activates a shield to block and reflect enemy fire.

There’s a bunch of different enemy planes and obstacles to deal with, and you can upgrade your plane’s health, shield, and ammo as you progress. And each time you beat a level, you get a special power-up to help you out. The goal is to travel to different dimensions and rack up points to unlock new planes and game modes.

Look, if you’re into strategy games with a bit of action, you’ll probably dig Highwind. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and it can get a little repetitive after a while – but overall it’s a pretty solid time killer.
