Reviews for LIMBO

An absolute MASTERPIECE !!! The game is a must for the lovers of these slowly paced adventure games. I've enjoyed the Broken Sword saga, I've cursed in The Longest Jurney and I both laughed and cursed in Grim Fandango. But whereas in none of the above could I have managed without some tutorials, in LIMBO I've mostly made it on my own. It can be frustrating at times, but it's puzzles are absolute genius ! A fantastic little game indeed. Oh yeah... The ending could've used a little touch.

Fun, beautiful, and intriguing, but only 4 stars because I wanted more story. This seems more like a concept pitch than a full game. The puzzles were adequately difficult and it was just the right amount of spooky. There are few mobile games made with such attention to detail. If you purchase this game, you will not regret it a bit!

Pretty good game. Good controls. I just didn't like the ending. !!SPOILER!!! game could've had more than just a big spider to run from! And you kill it halfway through so then it turns back into just puzzles. I liked the excitement having something chase after you but was sad when we didn't get something else by the end

Interesting puzzles set in an atmospheric and haunting environment. My biggest complaint is the weird physics that forces you to solve some puzzles in a very specific way. For instance, when you're affected by reverse gravity while running, your forward motion suddenly stops. It's jarring, and confusing. Aside from that, Limbo is a decent puzzle game.

Wanted to love it, the dark theme, the atmosphere, simple yet beautiful graphics... But the touch controls are extremely frustrating, I tried connecting my Xbox controller, it is supported but a slight latency is making it just as frustrating. I was looking forward to solving puzzles, instead I'm repeating the same level a dozen times because I die due to a lack of responsive controls. I think I got about half way through the game before leaving it alone, the puzzle weren't that clever, just OK

I normally dislike puzzle/escape room games but I really, really likes this one! Visually interesting in it's simplicity and the puzzles were challenging but solvable. I'll admit I needed a YouTube walkthrough on one or two but managed really well on my own for the majority of the game. The ending was a little anticlimactic but I was glad I made it!

First tried the demo on console and didn't feel like I got enough of a feel for the game. Thanks to Google Play Pass (which I got for free w/ Verizon), I was able to play the entire game for free in one sitting. I really hope the devs get a good cut from Google Play Pass because I really enjoyed my time with this game. A nice quick, but not too quick game that felt like an adventure. Not much of a story, but that's ok. Only had to use a guide for 2 spots. Very smooth controls for a mobile game.

I love the gameplay, the atmosphere, and the puzzles, but unfortunately the game is broken. Just after the puzzle where you have to move a trapdoor to obtain a balloon that fits under your little crate so it floats (Chapter 18?), there is a platform with a ladder and two levers. Interacting with the lever below the platform causes the game to immediately crash. It's a shame, because otherwise the game is really 5/5, but the game has to actually run for me to give it a good review.

Death comes in many forms as you guide the protagonist through creative intense gut clenching puzzles. As entertaining as it's first release years back. I own this game across many platforms and time and time again I try to figure out or remember the puzzles to keep our protagonist alive. Great buy for thinkers. Lacks any form of tutorial levels and leaves players to their own devices to figure out the many creative puzzles. Death is not the end but don't get stuck in Limbo.

Super fun game that challenges your expectations of what not only mobile games can be, but what games in general are. Many tropes of games are crushed, and the easy controls are deceptive as the game becomes challenging as you progress. The horror / puzzle combination is great, and there is an overwhelming sense of atmosphere. This isn't your average mobile game. No IAPs or ads. I recommend to anyone who sees this! I'd also like to thank the developers for such a good console to mobile port

A variety of increasingly challenging obstacles, some time oriented. Limited visibility adds some complexity, but overall mostly for esthetic. Not super terrifying, or nightmarish, but the game definitely has some grotesque aspects to it. Physics can be aggravating but feel accurate. It can be difficult to distinguish when you are tying to jump and trigger an action with no visible buttons, only a swipe and tap difference. Overall, the game was a lot of fun (&headache), just wish it was longer.

This is a great game. The puzzles aren't extraordinarily difficult, and I think they're just the right level to keep you going at a good pace. My biggest gripe is just about the controls. It would take me half as long to clear a level if I didn't jump by accident instead of leaping. Buttons or anything else would be great. The lighting of the graphics is a bit dark and can be hard to see at times, but I've been able to find all the necessary objects/levers.

So far, I am enjoying this game. I'm playing it on a UMX phone, model: U683CL with 1 GB RAM. You'll probably need at least 200 MB of free space on the internal storage after installing the game, as the game creates a large cache when it's run the first time. It created a cache of 134 MB on mine. This is probably why some people consider it's stuck at the loading screen. It just takes a long time for the initial loading on some phones. Subsequent loads will be much faster if you don't delete the cache. That is why I've whitelisted it in 1Tap Cleaner. You can jump forward or backward and you can jump straight up. You can also jump while running, which may be necessary to reach farther ledges. Many things in the game can be pushed or pulled. An animation will show suggesting the possibility to grasp something when you are close enough to it and you tap and hold the jump area (on the opposite side from the run/walk side of the screen). Turning off battery optimization for the app and closing apps that are running in the background might help those who are claiming to be having issues with the app closing on its own. I'm on level 15 and it's tough. I'm going to check that sound under my feet when I'm up on the platform near the cogwheels.

Legit puzzles/platforming. Just about perfect at what it's trying to do. My only complaint is 1 puzzle close to the end (2 giant bricks, a magnet button/light to the right and a generic button/light to the left.... totally arbitrary and silly solution i had to look up on youtube), but other than that this thing is as slick and as dark as a baby seal. I'm hoping for a sequel!

The atmospheric immersion of this game is unlike anything I've experienced before on mobile. With headphones on, the sound effects of this game are truly unparalleled. The puzzles are innovative, engaging and quite challenging at times. Controls are flawless for touchscreen devices, graphics are unique and appealing. Didn't notice any bugs or crashes (took me about 5hrs to beat). Overall, great game for people who love puzzle-platformer. Highly recommend (a bit costly though, buy during sells).

Art direction is top notch. Very dark, and eery atmosphere. The gripe is piss poor controls. You have to die to uncover every puzzle, then die over and over just to get the character to execute each small movement to solve the most basic of platforming feats. Better control would make this a lot more enjoyable. For a game that isn't much fun to play, you may just want to watch a YouTube play through and save 5 bucks.

This was a very fun puzzle platformer. The story is intriguing, and I would play a sequel just to learn more. The game play is challenging but not punishing, and the frequent checkpoints are very good for a first playthrough. I have only one suggestion. I think a hardmode with much fewer checkpoints would be interesting for people who like a harder challenge. Other than that, my only complaint is that it wasn't longer! This is one of very few games I have felt worthy of a descriptive review.

Fantastic game, never gets boring, sometimes it would bug out on me but over all the graphics are amazing, the controls are great, animation and color scheme were very fun. I had a great time playing this, I got stuck on a few levels but over all it was a good game. Installed it and finished in a few hours, worth the money. Easy controls to work with, I love that it's simple to know where you are going. 10/10 would definitely recommend spending the money, great game to sit down and play through.

I absolutely love this game. been playing since it came out. I've been encountering a glitch with Google play games where since there is no vertical orientation, it locks me out and doesn't allow me to sign in, therefore blocking gameplay. nothing wrong with the game itself, though. Definitely worth the money, give it a go.

DISCLAIMER: I wouldn't recommend this game on mobile. -- I just completed the entire game on my phone, and it was great! The art was great, and the puzzles were challenging in a very fun way. My only issue is that this game was clearly not intended for mobile. It was intended for PC or an actual gaming console; the controls for a mobile device are very buggy. When you click to jump, there's a 50% chance he won't jump; which is terrible for timed jumps and is frustrating, makes it less fun.
