Pretty solid. A little confusing at first then it's too easy when you get it. I'd definitely buy a sequel if they could make it a bit more complex, add some outside of round style upgrades or some more gameplay modifiers.
Reviews for Luck be a Landlord
← Back to Luck be a Landlordincremental slots game. fun but basic
I love this game. I play it before bed or waiting places. Even when I forget about it for a bit I always come back.
Great game and I want to support indie developers. but can't use the thing that will destroy items in your inventory. Please fix. Thanks!
Its a great and addictive game. but please make the icons more receptive to touch. I have to touch them 2 or 3 times before a spin. the entire box should be the button. not just the small icon.
Too much variety. Struggle to combo things off each other. You can get one useful item to complement some of your selections. Too often you stray towards a path that just doesn't get rewarded. Graphics: 2/5 Sound: 2/5 Gameplay: 3/5
Absolutely Lovely Port from PC. I was thrilled when I saw it really was on mobile, as now I can have something to do while I'm away. Its a great time waster for anybody who's on a break or just wants time to pass by. I blame the game for being so addictive and fun, and for having such a lovely soundtrack. Props to AliensRock for making a video on it, otherwise I'd never even know this gem existed 10 archeologist/10
Great game, seen it a lot, but for some reason removal token isn't working? I've tried and tried to remove things from my inventory, but it just doesn't work Edit: I was just doing it wrong, you have to press the removal token icon before opening inventory
Strategy and chance combined to make a game I hyperfixated on beating for months. Easy to pick up, hard to master type of thing imo. Very nice game, one of my favorite mobile games altogether. Just wish there were more levels or that the Endless mode had goals, even if not for the landlord!
4.5/5 it's an excellent game and the transition from PC to mobile has been done so well that looking at it for the first time I don't think anyone could tell it was a PC game. There are some slow downs as you progress on a level but overral it's really fun and addictive
Wonderful game. Unfortunately, I have a Samsung phone, and the achievements seem integrated with some system setting that pops up "Game Booster" every time I earn one. "Game Booster" cannot be disabled even with ADB, unfortunately (other Samsung stuff makes sure it stays installed) This very much ruins the experience of exploring the various combos in the game, which is a big part of it. Perhaps the developer could make an option to unhook the achievements from the system to prevent this.
For the price you definitely get your money's worth. In the later levels it doesn't seem like you get the opportunity for a lot of fun builds since a lot of symbols and items that only are good as combos feel too risky to add or are just straight up worse than others. The essences system is a real nice unlock in the game that adds a lot more excitement later on
Fun game, but there are a few minor Android-specific issues, mostly UI related. The issue I run into most often is that items cannot be disabled from the inventory, only from the main game screen. This means that once you collect enough items that they start to go off-screen (an inevitability in endless mode) there is no way to disable or destroy them. This can, for example, make it impossible to use items like symbol bombs.
I already beat floor 20 on steam a while ago, but I bought this game again because it's the perfect phone game. It has the excitement of slots plus the depth of an RTS almost. You can figure out how to win with the symbols given to you as you learn how they interact with each other on the board. You can win every time with skill, but sometimes the rolls you get aren't what you're trying for. It's not a garbage game made to feed you ads; this is a proper game that originally came out on Steam!!
This streamlined rogue-like "deckbuilder" is the only game so good that I had to uninstall it from my phone. It appears deceptively simple. But the number of interactions between symbols and items gives the game a lot of depth and strategy and replay value. Games are a nice length, about 30 minutes. What makes this game so addictive is you make a simple choice every few seconds. No waiting, no long-term planning. Just spin, then choose. Spin, then choose. Where did the last half hour go?
A fantastic deckbuilder game and a solid port from the original PC version. Because using the deck is as simple as hitting a button, most of the gameplay IS the deckbuilding, which, for me, makes it very hard to put down. I loved the game on PC, but I think it makes for an absolutely perfect mobile game. As for critiques, I wanna be able to look at all my achievements! I've been getting all sorts of them, but I don't see a place to view them all. Fantastic game. Highly reccomend!
All the addictive, "just one more game" feel from the PC original scrunched down for mobile enjoyment! UI can be a bit clunky sometimes- scrolling won't function occasionally, buttons will occasionally just not press, or in the case of the reroll button, keep moving to the right until it decides to work. Other than that minor gripe, though, it's all identical to PC and well worth the price tag. All it's missing now is the mods!
Classic roguelike finally comes to mobile, and for a very fair price. My only minor complaint is that achievements (as of writing this) are not unlocking on my Google Play account. They still show up in-game, thankfully. EDIT 8/2: I've emailed the dev about this, and he said he's working on getting achievements enabled on Google's backend. His responses were very quick as well! Additionally, 15 days from this edit, the PC version will be getting a small content update! Check it out on Steam.
There's menu unlocks hidden behind playing at least 10 games, and it took a couple hours for me to do that. The beginning starts to feel slow, but I am appreciating more unlocking over time. It's very challenging to beat, and to get a synergy. There's lots of items that can shape the run, looking forward to figuring out a decent strategy. Unfortunate that you seem to have to invest in 2-3 possible paths, but it often becomes your downfall if rng is particularly bad.
Incredibly addicting. Easy time waster. My current record is $20bn and I only stopped because the game lasted 6 hours and I was ready to move on. Once you unlock essences, the whole game changes. You rely heavily on RNG, luck, with a lot of strategy to influence the game. When you hit it big, it's so incredibly rewarding. However, there are plenty of rounds where you lay a good foundation for a solid run, only to miss rent by a few coins and have to start all over. It's a wild ride. Cultists FTW
