This was definitely a big upgrade from the original Mega Man x Dive, removing the gacha is a massive improvement so you don't have to spend actual money to get the stronger S rank characters early. Unfortunately the game slows down my system's ui and crashes soon afterwards even at the lowest resolution and frame rate. Also just like other play store games, when you uninstall the game you all your progress even if you saved your file.
Reviews for MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline
← Back to MEGA MAN X DiVE OfflineI kinda hate that I am paying 30 bucks for a mobile game but honestly it is refreshing. If I was playing the gachas version I guarantee it would cost more than 30 bucks to get 1 guy you wanted let alone weapons. I would probably enjoy some of these other gacha games if they were released like this with play to unlock mechanics and all of a year or 2s content. I finally have a game on my phone that is designed to be played for 5-10 minutes and not constantly asking me for money.
I absolutely Love Love this Game. So worth it vs the online version where I've spent hundreds of dollars on metals in order to open character capsules and never getting an S Character capsule. This game is well worth the $30.00. I recommend this game for any Mega man fan. In my opinion this game is even better than MegaMan 11. When I play this game on my 75 inch TV it doesn't feel like a mobile game but an actual console game. The graphics are crisp as well as the game play. So many characters.
As if the online version wasn't fun enough, this game will go down as the greatest Mega Man game of all time unless something similar is made on an even bigger scale someday (maybe an X DiVE Offline 2 with crossover armor and future Nebula Joy additions like True Zero). Incredibly addictive, took me about 41 and a half hours to complete the story, playing additional events and unlocking everything beyond that has me at 101 hours and counting. Hats off to Capcom for this masterpiece.
im a megaman x fan and I enjoyed this game to the fullest, despite the fact the online servers shut down, offline still gives a big story. if you have strong interest to the game, i recommend completing the game with s-rank X then move on with S Rank Zero, invest towards the biochemical buster. if you want to play with controller you just need to click on the icon [e.g press shoot button then select the little "main ---" then press the button the the controller and repeat for other buttons]
I don't play many phone games, because most feel like shovelware, but I've just been hooked on this. I've put on close to 60 hours on this, and I've got to say I'd recommend this to anyone who was a fan of the old mega man games. Gameplay is great and the character design is amazing. The story is your basic isekai but its interesting enough to keep you playing to find out what happens next. Overall, well worth the $9.99
I was happily playing and the next day it patch and it stays on 100% without moving. So had to clear cache and I noticed the field size is supposed to be 2gb and above- why TF is it 400mb?! so I'm reinstalling and hopefully my faken save file is being automatically saved WHY DOES IT NEED TO UPDATE EVERYTIME I OPEN IT?!
Good game - VERY cool move by Capcom to make this available offline, rather than simply killing it off. Played for a while when it was free to play but eventually stopped because the "impermanence" of games bothers me. Making the game available offline after the server shutdown is something I wish all companies did. I bought the game specifically to support moves like this. Please take note companies and thank you Capcom! #StopKillingGames
I highly recommend MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline. While the controls may feel awkward initially, give it some time. The depth of its mechanics and nostalgic charm will grow on you. With a variety of characters, each with unique abilities, the gameplay stays fresh and engaging. The challenging and rewarding progression system has made it a staple in my gaming routine.
Now that it's offline and lacks gacha, I can just enjoy 100+ Mega Man characters on the go. Great during work breaks or long rides. The grinding always has you unlocking new things at a great pace, so it never feels like a slog. The translation is janky and very clearly not made by native English speakers, but it gets the point across and I still enjoyed the narrative. The only thing I wish the game had was the crossover characters, and maybe some better representation for ZXAdvent.
Even at $3 its pretty mind numbingly boring, cant believe they've been asking $30. Doesn't feel like a Mega Man game when there's no difficulty. Maybe later on there is, but meh. It runs fine though, don't know what the other recent reviews are talking about. Quick refund for me! Perhaps the tedium and auto aim baby like difficulty is fun for some, not I.
Having played the game back when it was Online Only, I can say I really enjoyed it back then! ☺️ To make such games offline to preserve it's story means alot to me, and I believe this should be done with other games in the industry! 😌 The game deserves to be on Nintendo Switch as well, in my opinion! I know this version may have launched back in 2023, but I still think it should get ported in 2025 or beyond! 😉 I sure hope Capcom considers porting the game to the Nintendo Switch soon! 😁
I do not like gacha to say the least, but this one had its gacha part removed, and I'm having a blast with it! And you can really play it completely offline, once you download the additional files and stuff first. Edit: Removed one star for lack of cloud saves. Would remove more but I had already finished the story by the time I lost my data. Edit 2: 5 star again since they implemented cloud saves. Be careful though, it's not an automatic save, you'll have to upload it yourself from title screen
Nice alternative for those who were interested in the game, but didn't have the time to participate on the events or were just unlucky with getting their favorite characters. Now if only more gachas did the same when they went out of service... oh well. I do have one complaint tho, and it's the main menu music. Please allow us to change it at some point. The 3 seconds loop is getting on my nerves to the point i play without bgm and that's a shame because the rest of the music is amazing
If you've played the online version, then you know what to expect. Pros: - Almost all characters, weapons and skins can be acquired through gameplay - Almost all events can be accessed at any time - No gacha, paid elements or time gates Cons: - Controllers work, but setup is a little finicky - No crossover content, for some reason - No coop/PVP events, for obvious reasons It's on the pricey side, but it has years' worth of content, so it's worth it.
Ever wanted to feel what it's like to be a gacha whale? This game's for you! All microtransactions and gacha elements have been removed while keeping the gacha style gameplay intact. It's much simpler than a mainline Mega Man game, so if you're looking for that, you may be disappointed. Otherwise, it's a ton of fun being able to unlock and level whoever you want without having to worry about spending resources sub-optimally. Really wish more devs would do this when their games go EoS.
Very mediocore experience. Characters power up quite easily, which takes away any sort of challenge from the levels, especially on normal difficulty. Touch controls are fine, but the levels offer no platforming challenge whatsoever. It's just run and gun with a couple of jumps in between, nowhere near the actual fun and challenge that classic megaman games offer. Nice graphics and good music, but the gameplay is very boring. Doesn't justify the price at all, even during sales. Not recommended.
Original issue with gane is no longer occuring, updating my review to reflect that. The game runs well , but the translation is a mess - some parts of the story are borderline nonsensical. But for a touchscreen game the controls are tight, there is a wide variety of characters and weapons, and the game doesn't feel overly stingy with rewards, which is something I was initially concerned about as the online version was a gacha game.
Great game, at the current price is fair... $15, not bad. $30 also not bad, but is more directed to the ultra fans of the game. The game has a lot of content, which you will unlock, not everything is available from start. You need to play the Story mode, unlock characters, powers, and eventually other areas will be unlocked to play more levels.I was expecting to play Mega Man 1, MM 2, MM3... separately, but that's not included here, you will see enemies and level design of those games integrated.
Fantastic game. If you've played the online version, seen the skins and didn't want to wait 4 months to collect their memories. It's more than worth it. The only drawback is that collaboration skins aren't available. But if they update it with new characters maybe even offline exclusives it'd be a more worthwhile experience. Honestly unless you know you're going to put hours on hours into the base game it's a definite pick up. If your hesitant at all, wait for an update announcement.
