This game sucks big. Its purpose is to merge lower level items to get the higher ones. Initially it's fun, but once you hit the higher levels producing necessary high-level items takes hours, if not days. I've now reached level 44, and my task is to produce level 7 planks. The way the game is designed it'll take WEEKS. Thank you for the crappiest game ever.
Reviews for Merge Mansion: Mystery & Story
← Back to Merge Mansion: Mystery & StoryI play everyday and enjoy it. The higher the level, the harder it is to level up and there is strategy to using the board and which goals to go with first. Money can be slow to earn to buy storage. Thank you for bringing back the option to sale bubbled items when clearing them. Added: For the past 2 days, the game loads, goes to the travel loading, gets to 98% and then nothing. I haven't been able to play at all. Game is updated to latest release and I see I'm not the only one with this issue.
this game is enjoyable, with the biggest downside is how long it takes to collect the items to complete a quest. There needed to be a way for the players to be able to generate energy so we can play for longer than 5 minutes and have to wait 3 hours for recharge. Also, the items that are required for the daily trades are excessive and almost unachievable. Needing level 12 items for trades is ridiculous. It gets to the point that you have to choose between them and moving through the game.
I've played this game for about 4 yrs. Obviously I'm addicted. To move quickly through the game it requires alot of money. I'm done spending though. Too much!! Anyway, today when I loaded the game to start playing, it froze at the "Travel to Mansion' point. I've rebooted my phone, but it is still frozen at that point and won't let me play. UPDATE: After 3 days, I received an update which corrected the issue. THANK YOU! Appreciate the rewards for my troubles. 🙂
This game gets a 5/5 stars for me just for being one of the few games you can find anymore that doesn't harass you with ads and in game purchases. On top of that, the story is fun, the art is great, there are new challenges regularly. This game is still fun and enjoyable without having to spend a cent. Also, if Pedro was willing to do an ad for this game, you know it's a decent company. That's actually what got me to download it in the first place. I've been hooked ever since.
Used to be fun and relaxing, but events have stressed me out with how hard they are to complete and I've made multiple purchases for them just to get to the "almost there" level at best. Another game that is pay to win, unfortunately. Devs' responses of the game being free to play is right, but if you play merge games you go for the completion satisfaction, which you won't find here. It's a constant trigger of your OCD unless you spend a week's worth of groceries on each event.
Fun game, at first, but the extra games like the fishing and this new one, love on the vine is making me want to delete the game. It is impossible to get unless you pay. It is very frustrating to work so hard to get the items, and then they make it so difficult. ! I am learning I just want to buy a game, instead of being almost forced to pay if I want to get the extras, or make it further!!!
Too expensive; impossible to finish challenges. This game used to be super fun, but now there are never-ending side events that require spending so much money but are still impossible to complete. Purchaseable packs used to be reasonable, but they have just gone up and up in cost. And the format for playing has changed so much that it's almost a different game. Ultimately, this costs waaay more to play, has less ability for steady progress and lower chances for completing side events.
This is an edit to my first review. Overall Merge Mansion is a good game. Some of the previous faults have been addressed and it is little nuisances that prevent this game from getting a higher rating. First, too much filler now. Every day feels like the same repeating quests are trying to be forced upon you. Second, you still cannot undo accidental matches. And lastly, there is an obvious "pattern" when you need items. After you play for more than 3 hours you will see it for yourself.
I enjoy this game quite a lot and have been playing it on and off for a couple years now? However over the last few bigger updates there has been so many more on screen pop ups to have to click away from, that it's gotten a bit annoying, and now if you go one click beyond filling up your board there's a lingering text in the middle of the game informing you of such. It's just getting quite busy looking. If there was a way to toggle these pop ups off that would be great
The game was fun to play until the developers decided to become greedy. The update that add in the items to make a scarab box has me now unable to complete task, so I'm stuck. I refuse to spend mass amounts of money for gems to get a level 1 item that is not going to help unless I buy 10+. I have no other tasks I can work on. The balance of tasks and the items always needing to be top level has become almost impossible to complete without spending money. Guess its time to uninstall.
Lovely game. Been playing for a while now, and it's one of the only games I haven't un-installed yet (I usually only keep games for a few months cuz I get bored). It definitely requires some patience, but I think that's one of the reasons I've kept it. The side-games suck and are extremely pay-to-play, but if you ignore them they don't really influence gameplay. Would recommend for patient players!
I've been playing this game for quite a while. I'm a level 43. I'm with the others - the card game could've been great, but it really detracts from gameplay. The number of things "starting" and "ending" cause endless popups and sometimes take away game time, especially on timed items, like infinite energy balls. Mainly, I'm not happy with the graphics downgrade. They get more cartoonish every day. It's hard to take you seriously when the "new" graphics look like something you copied from 1998.
Gameplay is decent, storyline is fun. Simple game to occupy spare time. One issue I have is that the in-game challenges (basically a game within the game) are repetitive except for the story that is tied to it. They are impossible to get to high levels before they vanish (without buying advantages), so I will often skip playing them. Instead, I will just keep working the main storyline's game to keep advancing levels there. Overall, a fun game.
Could be epic, but falls short. Ultimately, like most games this is about making the developers money. They try to come up with side quests but have made them impossible without spending real money. I'm happy to do that for extras but not for unlimited random results that we have zero control over. Different energy types should mean more game play, but its just enough to make you realize you must spending real money. The main game is fun and not impossible. The monthly boost is worth it though.
This game punishes you for not paying. I've been playing for a few years now, just to pass the time. I liked being able to unlock and clean up different areas. It used to be ok about balancing the grind. In the past year though they've gotten greedy. They added superfluous items at the top of merge chains as just a way to force players into paying, or being stuck on tasks for weeks. It's not fun anymore, thinking of uninstalling. If the devs do respond, I bet it's "sorry you feel that way".
The game is ok but progressing takes forever, unless you dump money into it. Any money you put into the game isn't worth it. Coins mean nothing, you can't buy much with them but packages mostly have coins. Diamonds are what are needed to advance in the game. But purchasing items with diamonds is insanely "overpriced" and generally not worth it. The board gets cluttered with mostly with energy, event currency & additional bubbles with extra items you can buy (diamonds only)
A hot mess: too many generators, too few items can be generated before they have to refresh, meaning completing tasks gets dragged out. This is really a play to get you to spend more money. Forget it. I'm not particularly fond of merge games, but this one is really the worst I ever played. Only kept it long enough to get to the level 10 payout in Rewarded Play. Ugh.
I'm so far into it that I can't stop playing but every little bit the game crashes. it gets so bad that it makes my phone freeze up. I've always had this issue. this is the only game that I have that I can't play while on FaceTime. it lags and disconnects constantly. great storyline and I love the events, but it's hard to play when it's constantly crashing.
July update broke the game. Now using the "travel" feature freezes the game. And they made event pop-ups that lock the screen and force you to travel, even if you don't want to play the event. Haven't been able to play the game since the update. Support just says, "they're working on it." Did this update even get tested before rolling out?
