I didn't believe that this could work on phone since I played this before on Xbox, but one comment here convinced me to try it out and let me say - it's actually really good! Free mode could use a little different missions since it gets stale after 4 maps just delivering logs, but otherwise 5 stars.
Reviews for MudRunner
← Back to MudRunnerI don't know what these people are complaining about, its a phone game, so of course, things aren't going to be up to par as the console/PC version, for what it is, it's good, camera feels a little stiff, as if it's literally a GoPro bolted to a metal arm looking at the truck, and graphics wise, it could look better, more options and maybe controller support would be nice, but overall, i personally think it's good, these people desperate for android versions of games just need to be patient
Mudrunner on PC and console was already the single best off-road, physics based trucking game to date, other than the newly released snowrunner. And now there's this, the mobile version of mudrunner. you're probably thinking, that it must lack heavily on mobile and you couldn't be more wrong. The main differences being a slight decrease in graphical quality and that's pretty much the most of it, the rest of the game's maps, trucks and physics are all still perfectly there.
The greatest offroad experience on mobile! I actually wasn't expecting much before downloading, because every offroad game I played disappointed me, either graphics (most importantly) or dynamics, controls...etc. But this game has all, the vehicles are incredibly detailed, realism looks far much better than any other game! Of course there are some issues that I would like to mention, like cockpit view, mirrors, dirt and mud on vehicles, more smoke and so on. I hope the Devs continue on it.
Great game!!!!! There's a few features I think you guys should add tho. You must add more maps, you must also add truck customization options(like changing your tires and lights etc.), you must also add multiplayer. Then this game would be dope!! I bought this game and all the dlc's in it. So if you add those features, i would still support you guys.
Long time player of Mudrunner series on PC, rarely play games on my phone. This is easily the best adaption of controls and porting of a full game to mobile I've ever seen! Touch controls are almost comparable to a controller and mud physics are still there. For me, Mudrunner is a game of relaxation and now getting to play anywhere. And now my phone may become my primary way of playing it!
very intuitive, tutorial a bit long, but informative for new comers. Love how the terrain deformation quality stayed great and the sounds are all the same as steam version. Feels like a better atmosphere as it's more darker than the grey. Could do with an option to increase graphics quality as some phones could run the pc equivalent, but after all it is still a mobile game. Definitely worth the money if this is the only way you can play this.
Pretty awesome. Good framerate, clean graphics. I think you could make it more graphics heavy, At least on my LG G7. I do notice however, that the camera shakes a bit too much. It makes the game hard to focus on and strains my eyes. Other than that, I really enjoy gameplay. Hope it will be worth the money. Does this game have controller support?
The game is a lot better than I thought it would be on mobile. I played Mudrunner on Xbox, and this is really good for the phone. Graphics are fantastic, and it doesn't take much to get used to the mobile controls. Edit: My controller originally wasn't working with the game so I didn't rate 5 stars but I tried it again and it works now!! The game is so much better using a controller. Updated to 5 stars! THANK YOU!!
EDIT: I'd like to say that, having come back from time away from the game, it's been great. But from the minute I opened the game yesterday, I got a message saying the file was corrupted, and wanted me to choose between saves. Now today, no message, but it's wanting me to buy the DLC bundles even though they've been bought once! FIX IT, and maybe I'll come back to playing again.
I bought this to support the devs for bringing a fully functional port of a PC game onto the Android platform. They could have taken the easy route and make a free to play, play to win rubbish knock-off, but they didn't. Thank you. First time playing Mudrunner and I get the idea, a chill romp thru the back country making deliveries. The journey is more important than the goal and your experience will be unique to you. I found it laid-back and relaxing, I was just missing some beer! Cabin view plz
Amazing port of MudRunner to mobile. The game itself is great, but I a few requests. Firstly, an option to change the controls. The controls are good, but it would be great to have a gyro and a steering wheel option. Secondly, an option to change the graphics. My device isn't ultra-high-end, but it is Decent. I would like to change the graphics to my liking instead of the game configuring it for me. That's it. My experience has been good so far.
I really like this game and is more then I expected from a mobile app. Thanks for all that you have done in building this. Totally worth the $6 and hope to see more like this. The only complaint I have so far is truck upgrades seem limited. Not many options there. And no in cab view. Still it is the best I have played in this category for a mobile.
Not worth it. Game looks ok at best, and the physics is all the game really has going for it. The controls are very limited, as are camera views, so much so that 90% of the time, you can't see where you are driving. There are zero video quality or control options, aside from "sensitivity," which is useless on a game with static button controls.
'MudRunner' is one of my favorite games on Android. It's a very well done port of a very good PC sim. —–PROS: The physics feel as good as the PC version. Graphics were cut down slightly to fit; but are still excellent. Sound FX with headphones are amazing. Surprisingly good touch controls. The base game is feature packed with four reasonably priced expansions available. —–CONS: The American trucks from the PC version are missing, limited controller support, and they removed cockpit views.
The game has good graphics, a good UI, a good tutorial and decent gameplay. But the camera placement sucks whenever you're carrying a load, which is often. You can't hardly see in front of you, which makes driving difficult, all but impossible. Plus, I found the game to be too hard, to the point that it was just frustrating and not fun.
New to Mudrunner but I like it! Tutorial needs to be easier to understand, possibly using arrows to point on screen. Camera should lock over back of vehicle until moved and some camera angles are not wide enough. Note: Locations are where the name is, at the bottom, not what the icon is covering. Great game, though, with a unique, non time-based playstyle and amazing physics! If your curious and enjoy driving and problem-solving this game is amazing with the devs saying more is coming!
Thank you for making this happen on mobile. I had it on pc and didn't get to play as much as I'd liked. Didn't think I'd ever get to play it again. Immediately bought the dlc too. edit: game quit working for a stint but is playable again, xbox controller compatible and runs smooth. after months of optimizations after the dlcs were added, the game too runs smooth, cept downed trees are a real burden that they used not be...
This is the same Mudrunner game available on PC and console, just with reduced graphics and worse controls due to the touchscreen. Its a great game if you like driving big trucks around slowly through mud, although a big part of what made the game great on PC was all the mods, which are nowhere to be found here, there's only paid DLC. Multiplayer is also missing, which depending on how you play the game could drop the score much more. Overall 4/5 for me due to no mod support.
Hello Focus Entertainment, you did amazing on this port, however there is a few things I nitpick about. The DLCS are free on PC but paid on Mobile, and the DLCS don't even have the real life vehicles included with them that are included with the main version of Mudrunner. I get it, licenses are expensive, and I completely understand that. What is even worse is the lack of any settings for graphics. There is just contrast and brightness, otherwise, this is a great and very fun port of Mudrunner.
