One of the few games I have installed. The basic concept is very cool, I love the strategy of it, and the music is great. It's very 'zen'. I had an older version on my Note 4, and when it was ported over to my Note 9, it quit working. Had to download a new version, but that's literally the only problem I've had.
Reviews for Osmos
← Back to OsmosGlad it is finally back on Android. Bought it many years ago and was sad to see it removed from the Play Store. Had to pay for it twice, but I suppose that's how things work sometimes with non-physical media. Hope to see something new from you guys one of these days!
the game installed with a large white box at the far right of my screen (holding horizontally). I rarely ever use money in games let alone buy them. The ambiance looked so cool, with the imagery, music, and simple designs. the black background looked horrible with that white box, not to mention the awkward controls.
A lot of fun. And beautiful video. But it eats battery and overheats the device on my higher resolution devices. Especially the layers with all the orbital mechanics. The types of levels are so different from each other that it almost feels like it should have been three or four games
Osmos was one of the very first games I ever played on Android, and to its considerable credit, it also remains one of the best. Osmos has multiple interesting play modes, great 1v1 multiplayer, deceptively simple control over a nuanced and challenging set of mechanics, and great visuals with pleasant ambient audio.
I've been playing this game of and on for years. Every once and a while, I'll uninstall it only to reinstall it shortly after. It's truly a great game. I enjoy the puzzles and mechanics, as well as the look and sounds from the game. I feel it all ties together to make a relaxing yet entertaining experience. 😊
If you want to challenge pros in multiplayer mode or float around chilling in space... it's beautiful on the eyes and teaches everyone quite some amazing physics as well. I havent played through all the levels as the higher ones arent easy. Thx to the developer and the nice female voice on one of the youtube videos. This is a truly relaxing game. 2 years later I still am amazed by the great sound and wish to have some online fights like when it was great widely played. years later, loving it stil
This is one of my all time favorite games; I played it waaaaaay back in the day of the ipod touch, lol. When it was unavailable I was so disappointed... I am so happy it's back!!! I'll be buying the light mode just to support the team. Thanks, y'all.
Played Osmos years ago and it's good to see it again. It's still as smooth and relaxing as ever, now with the new light mode. It looks good, it sounds good, and the physics are so well executed, every little move matters here. Loving it!
Great to have this game back. This was one of the first games I really enjoyed back when Android versions had names and were in low single figures. I am looking forward to rediscovering lost skills, I hope. Many thanks for making it available again.
Ive been on and off with this game since about 2014. Having started it young, and struggling with severe adhd this game actually brought me a lot of peace when I was younger (and frustration when I was learning to be patient lol), as years went on Id find myself thinking of it and redownloading it multiple times. This game provides such a peaceful yet still very fun experience, and if you're like me, or have youngsters with bad adhd, this game is a great help. Definitely recommend headphones.
Odyssey mode is short but enjoyable. However, I am unable to get into multiplayer mode. I'm logged into Google Play in the game and when I click multiplayer it starts to load a lobby then closes right away. Hopefully you can help! As this is a paid app and recommended by the Play Store I'm disappointed in the lack of multiplayer fuctionality.
Great game, gives you an intuitive understanding of some physics and gravity of all things.
So nice! Satisfying colour scheme, good sound, interesting movement control. Hits the balance between excitement and relaxation.
I'm so glad you brought this back. I played many many years ago and this has always been my holy grail of relaxing games. I never found a game that filled the hole this left when it was taken down. Perfect to slow my mind down when I'm overstimulated or stressed. It's worth paying for folks.
I've been playing demo for so many years and now I'm finally able to buy the full version. I don't regret anything. It's one of the best mobile games I've ever played. thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to play this wonderful game. I've never interacted with developers before, but you guys are definitely the best, it made my day.
With the death of Auralux (Play store declines to install it on my new phone) I needed a replacement. Skeptical of Osmos as I never pay for a "money or you can't have it" app or game without there being a trial version. But the reviews here were great and I was desperate. Fortunately, I made a good decision. Excellent game.
Great fun to play and beautifully presented with stunning graphics and mesmerising music tracks on each level. The controls are well implemented and easy to get the hang of. Plenty of levels to master and you must complete these first before you are able to unlock the arcade mode. This is a very well thought out and implemented game with a well balanced mixture strategy and all in a fabulous game that will keep you entertained and coming back for more and more, highly addictive, so beware.
This game is dangerous! It is the right balance between relaxing and suspenseful so if you're not careful your phone can go from 100% to 20%, you've missed eating the entire day, and you're weekend is over. lol In all reality, it's an awesome game. It disappeared for a bit so I'm glad it's back. Slow and steady wins the blob race. I personally absolutely love the orbital levels. I would highly recommend you give it a try if you're looking for a peaceful no rush gaming experience.
Original review 10/25/18 Most relaxing game I've played. I can play this for hours. Updated review: It's back! I can't believe this game was gone from the Play Store for years! This game has been my favorite game on Android since it was first released. It disappeared from the Play Store 4 or 5 years ago but anytime I would buy a new phone I would side load it. In 2024 Android created many barriers to side loading so I couldn't anymore. So, I'm very happy they brought this back to the Play Store
