So here's my honest take on Pixel Soldiers: The Great War. I've tested a bunch of strategy games and this one's pretty solid. The historical setting is super interesting and the gameplay has a good amount of depth without being overwhelming. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. And the free-to-play model is also fair - you don't have to spend money to enjoy it. But I will say the upgrades and progression do get grindy after a while. And the ads can get annoying if you don't want to pay. Overall though, a really fun strategy game that's worth checking out.

Description

Been playing Pixel Soldiers: The Great War for a couple months now. It’s basically a turn-based strategy game set during World War 1. You can choose to command either the Entente or Central Powers and fight across the Western and Eastern Fronts. Pretty solid app if you’re into historical strategy games.

Here’s what you do: You build up your army, recruit new units, and then take on other players in epic battles. There’s also a clan system, which is pretty cool. You can team up with friends and coordinate attacks. And the different campaigns – like the Russian Civil War – add a nice variety to keep things interesting.

Look, if you’re into strategy games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want an addictive WW1 experience.
