So here's my take on Potion Permit. I've tested a bunch of these village-building RPGs and this one's one of the better ones I've played. The core loop of diagnosing patients, gathering ingredients, and crafting potions is really satisfying. The art style is super cute too. In my experience, the progression is well-paced early on, but it can get a bit grindy towards the later stages. And the townsfolk can be kind of annoying sometimes. But overall, it's a pretty solid game that scratches that cozy village sim itch.

Description

Been playing Potion Permit for a couple months now. It’s basically a cute little town-building RPG where you play as the new medical alchemist in Moonbury. The town’s been pretty wary of modern medicine, so your job is to earn their trust by diagnosing folks, gathering ingredients, and brewing potions to cure their ailments.

There’s a good amount of stuff to do – you can upgrade buildings, expand your gathering area, and take care of the town’s quirky residents. And it’s got a really charming visual style too. Took me a while to figure out the potion brewing system, but once I got the hang of it, it’s pretty satisfying.

Look, if you’re into chill village sims and RPGs, you’ll probably dig Potion Permit. It’s not perfect – the progression can get a bit grindy at higher levels – but overall it’s a pretty solid game. Worth checking out if you want a casual adventure to sink some time into.

It's a really cool game, but it lags a lot and it often freezes up then goes to the loading screen, then I think it takes you to the menu...
