I’ve been playing RAR Islands for a couple months now. It’s basically a minimalist, text-based island exploration and crafting RPG. The goal is to sail between islands, gather resources, craft tools, and help grow villages into thriving cities.
There’s a lot to do – you can explore different islands with varying resources and challenges, complete requests from settlers to earn rewards, and even uncover ancient lore and dungeons. The progression feels meaningful, whether you’re playing for short sessions or going on long voyages.
Look, if you’re into strategy games and RPGs, you’ll probably get a kick out of RAR Islands. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay. But overall, it’s a pretty solid game that does the job.
