So here's my honest take on Retro Slam Tennis. I've tested a bunch of sports sim games and this one's pretty impressive. The RPG-like progression and management systems add a lot of depth that you don't see in a lot of other tennis games. I like how it's not just about winning matches, but also building up your career, relationships, and social media presence. The strategic elements are genuinely challenging too. That said, it does get a bit grindy and repetitive at higher levels, and the monetization can be a pain if you don't pay. But if you're into this kind of deep, multi-faceted sports game, I'd say Retro Slam Tennis is worth checking out.

Description

Been playing Retro Slam Tennis for a couple months now. It’s basically a full-on tennis RPG where you work your way up to become the world’s best player. There’s a ton of stuff to do – you compete on different court surfaces, hire coaches, manage relationships, get sponsors, and even build up your social media following. Sounds like a lot, but it all comes together pretty well.

Here’s what you do: you start off as a newbie player and slowly work your way up the ranks. There’s a bunch of different tournaments and challenges you can take on. It’s got a nice variety of gameplay – not just tennis matches, but all these other management and progression systems too. Took me a while to figure out some of the mechanics, but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty addicting.

Look, if you’re into sports games or RPGs, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can get grindy at higher levels and the ads can be annoying. But overall it’s a solid experience and worth checking out if you want an in-depth tennis game.
