The game is fun to play in order to pass time, very time consuming, but it is NOTHING like the advertisement says. Yes, it is a merging game but NO you do not help a family in need (i.e. repairing the fireplace, windows, doors) as the advertisement shows. You collect items and coins for the game to automatically put buildings together for you. You merge items for "customers" to purchase - (sort of like those cooking games). It takes a LOT of those blue energies to level up.
Reviews for Seaside Escape®: Merge & Story
← Back to Seaside Escape®: Merge & StoryI love this game! One problem is I paid for a bonus then all of a sudden it is trying to make me pay again. I don't mind purchasing from time to time, but I would like it to deliver as promised. Second it is beginning to really drag out too much. Getting from the next moment to the next is getting too drawn out. Except for these glitches it would be a 5!
this game used to be fun and relaxing. Over time, it becomes way to difficult to advance without spending money. I have spent money to play longer, and that became an issue. Due to the fact I wouldn't be able to advance after a period of time, like initially. I quit spending and now I am taking baby step to complete orders....like days. I'll end up deleting soon
it's good enough. it's a fun enough merge game. i would say a fairly annoying downside, depending on the person, is how difficult it is to actually progress the story because of the requirements for building being so hyper specific. without tools, it doesn't matter how much money you have, so the game can stagnate.
I'm at level 555, and I can say that the game is addictive, which is frustrating. I've spent so much money playing this game until I really want to sue them. The reason that I've spent so much money is because the game is designed to show the lowest form of an item in the merge. It starts off like the merge items are randomly released, but I've noticed that the game purposely releases low-items. To complete a group is very frustrating when they do this. I really don't recommend anyone playing.
I don't know how this game has a 4.4 rating. the concept of the game is fun but it's just another false advertisement money trap. it's not the game advertised in all those ads you get on other games. I'll keep playing for another few days but I know it will become impossible. I can play for just a few minutes at a time before I have to wait for more "energy". LAME :( edit: uninstalling - storyline is uninteresting & the amount of energy needed to complete orders is way too hard for little reward
The game is an average merge game. I play several merge games by the same company and I treat them more as a time waster than to seriously progress. In game popups are annoying, and if you don't spend money, you'll never seriously go anywhere. It's ok as a time filler, but don't expect to be able to play beyond a few minutes before needing to spend. My biggest grievance is the lying deceptive ads for the game. If you see it advertised anywhere, the actual gameplay is NOTHING like the ads show.
Seaside Escape looks relaxing but is really a cash grab. You spend most of your time grinding the same match-3 puzzles with overpriced power-ups and sudden difficulty spikes. I bought an energy chest expecting 100–200 energy but got only 62, and customer service said that “can happen.” You can actually spend more and get less than the standard box. Add nonstop ads and weak rewards, and this game becomes frustrating instead of fun. It should be called "Just give me your money"
The game is just like Gossip Harbor You can play it for 20mins and run out of energy, then you have to wait 1 to 2hrs to gain full energy. I downloaded this game off a ad for it and in the ad it states how much it plays just like what you see is being played in the ad but in the end it's just like the rest, fake ads. I will say it's a bit faster to clear out the unopened spaces in the beginning of the game, and there's much more missions/houses to build.
Level 80. Game is fun & u can spend $ to help you but it's not necessary to still move along at an ok pace. My biggest issue is I cannot get help with a problem. There's a process to produce several things to produce the item you need. It's tedious. But it only produces 1 of the 2 items it's supposed to. This has me hung up for over a week & I can't complete an order, which in turn I can't complete a challenge. Contacted for help but keep getting generic response instead of a real person.
I love this game, but I do have a few complaints... The "rewards" are a GIANT letdown. They are almost always a level 1 item, which 99% of the time I end up deleting from my board right away. The same goes for a lot of the free chests (untimed). I have been playing for a long time and have never been able to complete an album. once I get close, all cards collected are duplicates. this seems intentional. Also, I wish there was an option to choose to watch ads for additional energy and rewards.
This is fun, it it's hampered by all the extra garbage they put in. It takes several minutes sometimes from opening it to getting past all the popups they throw at you. So I no longer open it. Probably for the best, since their other game, Gossip Harbor has gotten a fair amount of money out of me. That one has popups too, but far fewer.
The actual game wasn't too bad but I was promised 100 dollars in in game stuff for downloading it from an ad, which I did and got nothing. Played until level 7-8 and was bombarded with purchases you could make. Never mind it was nothing like the ads (where you merge to help a family) and the ads themselves were annoying as hell and took like a whole two minutes to get though. If I could give it a zero for being misleading and having annoying ads I would.
The game starts out fun, and it has an interesting story, but as you progress, it becomes repetitive. The cost to continue in the game increases quickly as you gain levels. It also starts each session by cycling you through multiple purchase screens. I have better things to spend my money on. I don't need to see level 200.
This game is fun, the visuals and the story are amazing, however the pop ups are a nightmare. To even open the app you have automatic popups for every possible event that you can't click out of and need to participate in. Then there's the pass, then there's the bingo, then there's the any other event and the star. I understand you want players to know but the fact it forcefully redirects players and takes up the entire screen is ridiculous. It takes five minutes just to play. Please please help!
This game is moderately fun. It would be a LOT of fun, but the constant barrage of pop-up ads trying to get you to make in-app purchases make it virtually unplayable. This app boasts about not having ads in the game, and while that is technically true they more than make up for it with the relentless stream of promotions for paid credits. It's so aggressive that 1/2 the time I close the app before I even play because 2 minutes into closing windows I've lost interest. Total bummer.
I'd give it 2 1/2 stars. I like the game. It's a simple, fun concept. My biggest issue is that it takes forever to earn more energy and it basically forces you to spend money to advance in the game. 100 energy bolts go by fast, especially when anytime you click on an item, it'll cost 2 bolts of energy to create the objects you need to upgrade items. The game play is fun but because of how difficult it is to complete the game without spending money, i wouldn't recommend it.
Starts out fun. But after a while (somewhere around level 85 or 90), every quest is asking for an item that drops 1 time in 75 tries. And you need an item that is made of 8 merges of that impossible to find item. I spent over 1000 energy and was unable to complete a quest, so I gave up. Kinda unfortunate because I had bought a few of their special event packs, but it has begun taking multiple days to fulfill a single request.
I like the story. But I wish you focused on one area at a time. And then unlocked the next one. As for the merging. Well what annoys me is the fact I have to keep building things up (the chairs with the umbrella) to get the stuff from that. If things could just be permanent I honestly think it would go better. And the rates different things drop. I can get a ton of bath stuff before getting any of the other. And same with others having two/three different items is also annoying.
I like the game, but it takes way too long to get energy. The olive section uses way too much energy - why???? Why click six times to get the necessary items for each merge level up? You can spin it with, but that's why you have the option to buy ... I don't pay to play games. Nope. You can keep the game. I'm done.
