Cards dealt are extremely unfair, for two primary reasons. 1) Team with lowest number of coins almost always gets better hands. 2) After NOT watching ads for a while, hands become almost impossible to win. I had two accounts on separate devices. I watch occasional ads on one account, and routinely saw the "normal" deals, as described in #1. On the other account, I never watched ads. It was impossible to win after a few weeks. Fair, random deals would be better.

It's a rather fun app for spades-lovers. However, I'm convinced there may be an algorithm in place that decreases the chance of you being dealt a valuable hand after you use real money to buy coins. I've noticed that ever since I started buying coins, the probability of me getting a bad hand has increased by a lot. The great majority of my hands are only bound to get me 1-2 tricks now if that. Far too many hands that won't get me a nil nor 1 trick...just stuck in between. Seems fishy.

Great competition against other players. Good variety of different games. Problem is when the computer plays they give you some bs about algorithms. Just played a game and the bot got 8 consecutive hands of 5 to 7 books. I posted here because of the answer I was given. I noticed it has changed. Now if you can do something about none of the solo games showing up except the ones created by the house that would be great. After reading the reviews. I am not wrong. Greed is costing you players.

The game requires users to spend coins to play -- *lots* of coins. You can get free coins, so that isn't a problem in and of itself, but that immediately changes the nature of the game: it's no longer a relaxing game among strangers (or friends); it's now a matter of worrying whether you'll have enough coins to keep playing. I'm rather self-disciplined, so I never came near zero. Zynga *really* pushes the options where you have to buy more coins to play, and automatically moves you to higher levels where you have to spend more coins to play. The default rules make it too easy to win a game by bidding nil (only 100 points) and I didn't find a way to change the rules. Looking around, it's easy to find other games that are more customizable and less greedy, so I opted for one of those.

This game clearly has an algorithm! You can only get so many garbage hands in a row before it starts to make sense. The game keeps you hooked enough, to buy more coins or cash, thinking that you will win eventually! The fact that your wagers coincide with the amount of coins you have, means that if you have a large amount of coins you have to wager high. You wouldn't be able to wager low amounts since that would mean more play time, without having to buy more coins! Pay to win folks!

Wouldve been a 5 star rating all day. Would play this game whenever I had ANY free time, but am no longer interested after this new update. The game constantly freezes, it looks horrible, the distribution is terrible. It was my go to for a long time but now I'm going elsewhere until they fix this glitch or update they're calling it. It was perfect before, have no idea why they ruined it.

Be very careful playing this game! Always take photos/screenshots! Even still, customer support will not properly investigate and admit system errors and glitches on their end. So, please do not spend money buying coins!! Explore other entities. For example, the app Trickster is free. You can play all types of card games with friends, with others, or against the computer for practice. Also, you can customize your settings, like playing with jokers. Less headaches and it is completely free.

I've been playing Spades Plus for YEARS! However, this recent change has seriously diminished the experience. I always used to play solo, but now there's basically no tables available. There used to be tens of tables to choose from, but now only 1 or 4 with high minimums. I'm not sure what the owners did, but you guys ruined Spades Plus. It's utterly ridiculous how you would make changes that would result in the demise of the app. I just don't get it. It's like committing suicide. I'm leaving.

The game play and variety of games are really good. I used to play this every day until they added the ads. Sometimes you can't get out of the ads without closing the whole app and restarting. I wish they would've offered an option to go ad-free before adding the ads, because I would've bought that. Now it's a struggle to have to deal with this, just to play a game I enjoy. I've tried different Spades apps and found this one to be the best. Now it's just mediocre.

Game play wise it's the best spades app I've tried. However, matchmaking seems intentionally lousy at times. Opening the app is continually getting worse. It's not a 'Special Offer' if it appears every time I open the app. I stopped being impressed by stickers as awards when I was 8. Virtual stickers serve even less purpose. Why waste my time with them?
