Cards dealt are extremely unfair, for two primary reasons. 1) Team with lowest number of coins almost always gets better hands. 2) After NOT watching ads for a while, hands become almost impossible to win. I had two accounts on separate devices. I watch occasional ads on one account, and routinely saw the "normal" deals, as described in #1. On the other account, I never watched ads. It was impossible to win after a few weeks. Fair, random deals would be better.

It's a rather fun app for spades-lovers. However, I'm convinced there may be an algorithm in place that decreases the chance of you being dealt a valuable hand after you use real money to buy coins. I've noticed that ever since I started buying coins, the probability of me getting a bad hand has increased by a lot. The great majority of my hands are only bound to get me 1-2 tricks now if that. Far too many hands that won't get me a nil nor 1 trick...just stuck in between. Seems fishy.

Great competition against other players. Good variety of different games. Problem is when the computer plays they give you some bs about algorithms. Just played a game and the bot got 8 consecutive hands of 5 to 7 books. I posted here because of the answer I was given. I noticed it has changed. Now if you can do something about none of the solo games showing up except the ones created by the house that would be great. After reading the reviews. I am not wrong. Greed is costing you players.

The game requires users to spend coins to play -- *lots* of coins. You can get free coins, so that isn't a problem in and of itself, but that immediately changes the nature of the game: it's no longer a relaxing game among strangers (or friends); it's now a matter of worrying whether you'll have enough coins to keep playing. I'm rather self-disciplined, so I never came near zero. Zynga *really* pushes the options where you have to buy more coins to play, and automatically moves you to higher levels where you have to spend more coins to play. The default rules make it too easy to win a game by bidding nil (only 100 points) and I didn't find a way to change the rules. Looking around, it's easy to find other games that are more customizable and less greedy, so I opted for one of those.

This game clearly has an algorithm! You can only get so many garbage hands in a row before it starts to make sense. The game keeps you hooked enough, to buy more coins or cash, thinking that you will win eventually! The fact that your wagers coincide with the amount of coins you have, means that if you have a large amount of coins you have to wager high. You wouldn't be able to wager low amounts since that would mean more play time, without having to buy more coins! Pay to win folks!

Wouldve been a 5 star rating all day. Would play this game whenever I had ANY free time, but am no longer interested after this new update. The game constantly freezes, it looks horrible, the distribution is terrible. It was my go to for a long time but now I'm going elsewhere until they fix this glitch or update they're calling it. It was perfect before, have no idea why they ruined it.

Be very careful playing this game! Always take photos/screenshots! Even still, customer support will not properly investigate and admit system errors and glitches on their end. So, please do not spend money buying coins!! Explore other entities. For example, the app Trickster is free. You can play all types of card games with friends, with others, or against the computer for practice. Also, you can customize your settings, like playing with jokers. Less headaches and it is completely free.

I've been playing Spades Plus for YEARS! However, this recent change has seriously diminished the experience. I always used to play solo, but now there's basically no tables available. There used to be tens of tables to choose from, but now only 1 or 4 with high minimums. I'm not sure what the owners did, but you guys ruined Spades Plus. It's utterly ridiculous how you would make changes that would result in the demise of the app. I just don't get it. It's like committing suicide. I'm leaving.

The game play and variety of games are really good. I used to play this every day until they added the ads. Sometimes you can't get out of the ads without closing the whole app and restarting. I wish they would've offered an option to go ad-free before adding the ads, because I would've bought that. Now it's a struggle to have to deal with this, just to play a game I enjoy. I've tried different Spades apps and found this one to be the best. Now it's just mediocre.

Game play wise it's the best spades app I've tried. However, matchmaking seems intentionally lousy at times. Opening the app is continually getting worse. It's not a 'Special Offer' if it appears every time I open the app. I stopped being impressed by stickers as awards when I was 8. Virtual stickers serve even less purpose. Why waste my time with them?

The game keeps freezing up when it's time for me to bid , I get stuck with 1. I've purchased certain things and don't get to use them , like the table colors . You dont apply what color I pick and get stuck with the same old green everytime . This is BS . Fix your game please . Thanks

I will not make another purchase on this app and will advise friends and family to do the same. The cards are dealt with bias, with better hands going to players on higher levels. There is no way you can with at spades when you are dealt 2 spades each hand. Keep your money. Do not make an in-app purchase. And we don't believe the "cards are dealt by computer" reply.

This game is unbelievable. The algorithm is designed to make you win initially so you continue using the app initially. at some point though, the game will decide to start targeting you for an incredibly long string of losses due to seemingly impossible strings of bad luck on deals. It's not bad luck. The game intentionally deals hands to pick and choose winners/lovers all in an effort to maximize their earnings. If you don't pay for coins to play, it will deal you garbage on purpose.

I've played for years, but it's no longer enjoyable. Besides being charged for a subscription that I never received (and NEVER got a response from their support), I also purchased an extra advertised as $20 but was billed for $21.99 + tax. All of the recent changes have me looking for another place to play. UPDATE: Zynga responded to my review but failed to address my claims regarding subscription or payment issue. Nice!!

I don't understand why I can't get a fair game from the cards dealt or players. I used to play some days during work, eat, and all things. With the endless cheating of players and the so-called algorithm used by the platform system. I may jump online looking for a game twice out the day. I want to thank the game for catching up with some of the cheaters. However, it's still happening. THANK YOU FOR THE GENERIC RESPONSE. MEGA JOKE!

gimmick, gimmick, gimmick, when you first start this game nearly ten minutes passes before you can even sit down to play a game because of all the props this game forces you to go through. There is no practical way to chat, you can't pick your partners.. this game was ok 10 years ago before it had all the gimmicks. Now after logging on, after the 10 minutes of trying to play I no longer feel like playing anymore. The adds come in full throttle during game play disconnecting you while you play!

I have played this game for years. I took a break due to working a lot. I recently started to play again and the app has many errors. It buffers a lot or stalls out and picks a card I didn't want to pick. Other players think I'm playing slow when it's not me but the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times and the issue is the same.

Have been playing this game for years and it has progressively become worse each year that passes. It used to be the best one on the play store. So many features have been taken away and therefore it is not fun to play anymore. And when you start get ahead the algorithm changes and it cause you to lose all of your coins. It has happen way too many times to count. It is now a poop stain of a game. Read all of the reviews if you don't believe me! Keep it up Zynga we all know you don't care.

When I first started this game J was happy with it. It lets you play teams or cut throat, the graphics is awesome and fun. But, the game stalls on me a lot. Then it'll boot me off and the computer takes over.. Making me lose my game and my winnings.. It did it too many times so I finally removed it. I don't know if there's an issue in the system but I hope they check it. It is a good game. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME!!!

This game just started bugging recently. Too many computer-controlled players with weird names and spades logos for their pic. The clock sometimes ticks like I'm running out of time to play a card, and the previous "player" just played their card. I also hate that message in my inbox that I can't delete. I am OCD, and that message bugs the $#!+ out of me. This game need some major fixing. I might check out the app store and see what these other spades games have to offer.
