So here's my honest take on Spin Hero. I've tested a bunch of strategy games on my phone and this one's pretty darn good. The gameplay loop is super addictive - I found myself constantly wanting to spin the reels and see what symbols I'd get. And the strategic depth is legit too, with lots of different ways to build your deck and adapt to different situations. It's free-to-play but you really don't need to spend money to have fun with it. On the downside, the progression does start to drag a bit at higher levels, and the ads can get annoying if you don't pay. But overall, I'd say it's one of the better strategy games I've played on mobile in a while.

Description

Been playing Spin Hero for a couple months now. It’s basically a roguelike deckbuilder game where you spin the reels to decide your fate. Pretty solid app if you’re into strategy games with a twist.

Here’s what you do: You collect powerful symbols for your inventory, then you use them to adapt and evolve your strategy. There’s also a bunch of clan wars, which is pretty cool. And the progression system – took me a while to figure that out but it’s pretty useful.

Look, if you’re into games that are one part deck-builder, one part slot machine, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and it can get a little repetitive after a while – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a new mobile strategy game to sink your teeth into.
