I've found Stellar Academy Cadet to be a pretty solid space adventure game. Compared to other interactive fiction apps, this one has some nice production values with decent graphics and a decent variety of story paths. And the skill system also adds a cool layer of progression that you don't always see in these types of games. In my experience, the writing is hit or miss - some of the dialogue is genuinely clever and funny, while other parts veer into predictable sci-fi tropes. But hey, it's free to play so I'd say it's worth giving a shot if you're a fan of the genre.

Description

Been playing Stellar Academy Cadet for a couple months now. It’s basically a story-driven space game where you take on the role of a young cadet exploring the galaxy. Pretty solid if you’re into those kinds of interactive adventure games.

The core loop is all about making choices that shape your journey. You’ll visit mysterious planets, befriend alien crew members, and make discoveries that expand your galactic knowledge. There’s also a skill system where you can level up in areas like diplomacy, science, and leadership. Honestly, it’s got a decent amount of depth without being too complicated.

Look, if you’re a fan of sci-fi and choose-your-own-adventure type games, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the pacing can get a bit slow at times and the writing is a little cheesy. But overall, it’s a fun little space romp that’s worth checking out.
