Reviews for Summoners War

I wrote a review months ago talking about how the summoning rates suck- I still feel that way. I had about 70 mystical scrolls and in 30 maybe got 7 nat4 mons. So the rates suck and due to this, progression in the game is slow, unless you spend money (which I won't). Besides slow progression and frustrating summoning rates, it's a good game with awesome game play!! And the events at least can be very rewarding! It's definitely worth checking out and putting some time into, just be prepared for some aggravation when you can't summon more than ~25 of the same 3* mons :)

The game is okay, but there are a ton of these types of games available, with more clones being released every month. After you have played one, they all seem so similar. Build your team, grind and grind to get as far as you can, and eventually hit a pay wall to advance. It would be more fun, but these games always require excessive amounts of time watching your team auto fight and after one of these games it just gets boring.

Summoners war is probably the best mobile game I've ever played. It is very "free player" friendly game. Lot's and lot's of ways to earn crystals, unlike most mobile games. For example, the only possible way to acquire "premium currency" requires you to download and play other games. Summoning rate of 4-5* monsters are also great, it just takes patience like any other RPG your console can play. To top it off, management is great. They really take time to review and fix issues and/or concerns.

The game is not really pay to win. It have some depth in strategy. Slowly and steady you will learn and manage to have some decent team to run through contents. But then after a few months, you start to see the reality. There are thousands of players who are a few years ahead of you in term of progress. If you want to catch up, you will have to grind days and nights for months or years. It cost me tons of time, money and focus to invest in this game. I feel better to give up this burden.

I have approximately 2,200 days into this game,I've played off and on over the years. The updates have truly made the game so much fun. The ones that complain about spending money and getting nothing clearly didn't understand what they were spending their money on in the first place. Monsters you summon are random, so when you buy scrolls and things to craft runes, the quality of them is NOT guaranteed. Game is a ton of fun. Give it a try. Spending is not required to enjoy, just time invested.

To grind everything you need (runes, rune enhancements, evolution material, levels, etc.), you need a lot of time, more time, and then additional time on top of that. Also the drop rates for a good monsters is abysmal... I played for 3 months on a daily basis, got a few good monsters, but after only getting one 5 star monster after about 150 rolls (takes time to earn these rolls too...), I've had enough. Content is too limited and catching up is impossible with the level of grinding needed.

For those who are bored with their other turn based rpgs, summoners war is a good option IF you have the space for it: it currently sits at 3.9gb on my device, though i do understand it is a large game with a lot packed into it. its a bit difficult to begin, with the tedious beginning, but once you get into it, its more fun, but dont waste your money on it. events happen a lot, so as long as you save your crystals, you dont need to make any purchases. trust me, not worth the cash.

Some of the worst RNG you'll ever experience. You can summon 150 times in a row and not get one 5*. I've summoned 40 times in a row and didn't get one 4*. Game is designed to screw you so you'll buy, but the prices are ridiculious with the average pack being $100...seriously. Play raid shadow, it's basically the same with better graphics. I would but I'm 9 years invested into this game that is slowly turning into a waste of space on my phone.

Graphically the game is great. The gameplay isn't complicated, and the monsters are great. Post honeymoon phase it sucks. There are 5 elements in game and depending on which one your monster is dictates it's skill and viability. So regardless if you like the monster you get, if it's not the _RIGHT_ color, it sucks. What is good though is the events and all the FREE scrolls you get for just logging in. Imo, that totally justifies the pull rates. Had no problem with that whatsoever.

Huge time sink, but pretty fun. Lately, they've put in a lot more popup micro transactions that interrupt play, and it's very annoying. Leave a dungeon, close the micro transaction, confirm that I don't want the special deal, try to return to the main island, close a micro transaction, all under 30 seconds apart, then repeat on every login and/or time interval. It makes me want to play a lot less when I have to keep closing microtransaction offers. Boo.

As a new player, I feel neutral on the game. The game is beautiful as well as the character designs but gameplay feels like P2W. The customer service isn't good and rates on the scrolls could be better. The events aren't engaging with rewards feeling unfulfilling for the effort and time. Crashes happen randomly for me, losing progress. Grinding can be a pain as well and for some items in shop are expensive. I've had some bad experience with the community also. I don't see myself playing long.

Everything is available to all players. There is no VIP standings, so even a basic new player can reach to the top eventually. Only concept to the game is to use a lot of time. Dec. 2015 (Update) The dreams of becoming one of the tops WAS possible, whether burning through cash, endless play time, or simply... luck? As a fellow non-cash gamer here, catching to the top has gotten a lot more difficult. With the new updates, unless you're working together with other elites, you can't catch up.

As Game it deserves 5 stars, in the other hand, every aspect of the game functions with random number generator, you get what your luck gives you, not what you plan to. Also, it's a very expensive game, literally you spend money for a chance of getting what you're aiming to. Personally I wouldn't recommend to buy anything in this game unless the current system it's reworked or unless they cut the prices at least by half.

This is the only game that I've played that you can work extremely hard at, and drop tons of money into, and still don't have squat to show for it. It can be very stressful, but it allows for one thing...you won't be stuck playing against players who are way better than you just because they pumped money into the game. It is depressing after you spend a lot of money though, and still don't have at least a couple of the top end mons. I'm talking about between $1-2k on the game with around 18 months of play time, many, many hours labored away at the game, only to still not have a G10 team. Some people get very lucky and end up with certain characters in the game like Lushen, so they have no clue the difficulties of playing the game without these characters. This company is just in it for the money. They don't care about the players.

Spend 500 to 1k US dollars at once and your still not guaranteed to get a good mon. If your a p2p , go to another game. Ones that have a much better rate for the investment you put into it. Moreso , the rates of getting a 5star are so limited , go to a game (if ur going to spend) where you know what your buying. Overall, a great game with good ideas. But if you plan on spending, go elsewhere.

I'm a returning player, have been since I was a teen; and I've got to say that this game has come a long way. It's gotten much easier to play with the repeat battles, interesting dungeon battles, and honestly a fun pvp system. Although there are some things I wish could be redesigned, such as the halls of magic, I think it would be cool to have unique bosses, and maybe repurpose the old ones for an event similar to devilmon events. Also, more 3*s, I'm tired of seeing the same 12 over and over.

I've been playing off and on for 10 years. Recently came back after a pretty long break, and there are so many quality of life updates. I've always appreciated the mix of "free to play" vs. "Pay to win"; you can earn strong monsters without paying, and several easily obtainable monsters are essential to clear content. The rewards are consistent enough to enable all players to build up a roster of strong monsters, and the game guides you through strategies to help you clear higher content.

Great game played for years. Had thousands of dollars spent. Account got hacked and company didn't try to fix it at all. I kept providing the required information just to always need more information. After tons of pictures, screenshots of account purchases, and even contacting them from the account it's self but couldn't login to the game since verification to change password went to the hacker. I would not recommend since they have no respect for their customer. It's a shame.

Meh .. sure. ive been playing this pay to win game since 2016. there are ways to play as a free player. but very hard to progress to end game as a non paying member. c2u has made quite a few quality of life changes over the past few years when I wrote this review. still only a 3 star review. you can have fun, you'll be tempted to pay to progress. you'll never get the monsters you really want. I have over 200 hundred 6☆ mons. still missing key units to be able to do pvp with the big boys.

Was feeling nostalgic and redownloaded the game after , idk how many years, and my account was banned. They gave a vague explanation that it has to do with my account on multiple devices. (I've changed phones a few times over the years. they break, or just get too out dated to continue to use). The process to get anyone to do anything about this has been infuriating because I can't get a clear answer when I do get a reply and it takes them forever to get back with even a vague response.
