Saw an ad for this. Thought it was cool. Played the tutorial. Thought it was cool. Realized there is an ad after every single level. Uninstalled. How you guys thought this was a good idea is beyond me, there's no possible way it's a sound business decision. Putting a 30 second ad after every 10 second level and losing half your player base CANT be more profitable than an ad every 5-10 levels while retaining people.
Reviews for Tower War - Tactical Conquest
← Back to Tower War - Tactical ConquestExcessive, inappropriate Ads, and Pay to Win. This game is fun at first. The further you progress, however, the harder it is to collect chips to level up your units. (Almost impossible.) You really can't do anything about it unless you pay an obscene amount of money for upgrades. The ads are insane. You're watching anywhere from one to three ads per round, and many of them are pornographic. I never review apps, but this one was bad enough to take the time to write one.
:edit: level 10 and beyond has forced 60 second ads every level. gameplay is still fun, but the ads become annoying and make me want to play less. honestly, better than expected. I love these tower style games and usually it's 1-2 levels then an add, or purchase push. I'm like 8 levels in, no ads yet, fun gameplay exactly as advertised. I'm impressed honestly.
No, no, no,no. You have many times where there is an offer to watch a video for a bonus reward, or decline. However, the player gets a video anyway. This is garbage. Go ahead, give your canned response. Handy tip: since you get an ad always, just close the app, relaunch, the next level will be available faster than waiting for the ad timer to expire.
This game is probably one of the better games I've played. My two main issues are the ads and the prices. The prices are ridiculous. I saw a soldier that cost $100. All is out rashers if you want to be elite, I guess, but you can not spend a dime and have casual fun EDIT: i love the update that recently came but I wish the game would find a way for me to use my coins. I earn a lot more than I spend. im at 4.5 million coins and it's just going up day by day. I'll probably be at 5 million in a wee
As others have said, its a very fun game to a point, but then you realize its pointless and pay to win. Easily a great addicting game for the first week, but after the first week, the ads after every single game (including losses and skipping double rewards) get old fast. Spending any amount of money would be a pipe dream for happiness but ultimately doesnt matter as all the event rewards, challenges, etc, are never obtainable anyway unless you pay to win per occurrence.
Download this only if you enjoy playing ads - you will definitely spend more time watching/playing ads than playing this game. If you don't enjoy ads after each and every action, along with multiple pop-ups begging you to purchase something, just skip this game completely. It's a shame, really. The actual gameplay had a lot of potential.
Devs introduce half baked new features and then try to roll them back after making balance somehow worse than it already was. At a certain point, the game becomes unplayable without spending $300+ on the most powerful and broken units in the game and there is no mechanism to earn them through gameplay. Add that to the fact that this game was already ad heavy, and I think I'm finally done giving these guys a chance. Was fun while it lasted, but this game is eventually and inevitably trash.
no way to go back and do previous levels, so if you get stuck on a hard level, uninstall the game and find a new game. also, not sure if there's a way to do it, but trying to change launcher from one river (bridge) to another often results in accidentally cutting off supply lines mistakenly. I know what to do but I lose because I can't change the things I want to change based on the input method.
awesome game. why ads when lose? I have too much time to think about the unfairness of the game. Also, had to uninstall. Application restarts after I watch the ads, or accidentally touch them, or I want to see who texted me, etc. Seems like if you live in the real world, don't expect bonuses. It really is a fun game though, just didn't expect to get rewarded every time they show that you can. I have other things to do.
I absolutely love this game. Hate that there are ads, but I still enjoy this game. I usually play it offline to avoid the ads. I would've given it 5 stars if it wasn't for an annoying bug in the game. You have to watch an ad to boost your men. Well it doesn't always work. I just watched 3 ads and I still didn't my reward for the boost. Annoying. Please fix this. Other than that, I recommend this game. Just play offline for no ads.
Overall, pretty good game. Solid mechanics and it's fun to level up your units. However, the "mythic" units kind of ruin the experience. When fighting them, they basically have the ability to instant kill whatever is in front of them and you cannot get them yourself unless you shell out $99.99/unit ($300 total). Won't buy on principle. Absolutely shameless cash grab for a free to play game. Base gameplay: 4 stars Broken wallet-warrior units: 0 stars Average: 2 stars
1, this game isn't a bait and switch, it is mostly as advertised. 2, don't play this game if you don't have disposable income or disposable time, the ads in this game are the longest ads I've ever dealt with. 3, if you do choose to play this game without paying for it, at the end of every battle always take the option to watch an ad for a bigger reward/prize roulette. If you click "No Thanks" you will still have to watch an ad.
I caved in and purchased the ad remover when it was on sale. I typically don't purchase ad removers, so it was worth it to me to continue playing this. However, now I see the same levels repeatedly, and there's no way I can progress my troops or tanks without paying $100 for a pack. Otherwise, I will have to continue playing the same levels repeatedly just to get a chance to try to earn a token to slowly progress towards leveling up.
The pay wall for this game is really disappointing. I've heard of games showing down progress without paying, but this game flat out doesn't let you upgrade characters past level 15 without tokens that you can only get with real money. It's a fun strategy game that is literally unplayable at a certain point, not because of glitches, but because they just won't let you progress further without cash.
This is actually a great game. Only issue is it only lets you progress so far then to upgrade you gatta buy an upgrade pack for a ridiculous $15. Then I'm sure you have to buy more after that. Luckily, it's still playable without upgrading. Even if you pay for no ads (the only reasonably priced thing in the game) you still can't get all the rewards unless you watch ads. The prices in this game are absolutely ABSURD! Some characters cost $100 to unlock. Wouldn't consider anything over $5
Could be great, but typical bs, there is a pay wall at a certain level. BUT, THIS GAME IS THE WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!! Usually you can just take the slow route and eventually upgrade but not in this game! once you get to that level, there is NOTHING you can do! THE WORST PART... THE ADS ARE CRAZY!!! NONE OF THEM CAN BE MUTED, AND AFTER YOU BEAT A LEVEL IT WILL SAY DO YOU WANT TO WATCH AN AD TO DOUBLE YOUR POINTS. AND THEN YOU SAY NO, AND THEY STILL MAKE YOU WATCH IT
ad time > play time I like the concept of the game. the lvls get a little bit harder each time but not overly hard. I also like that you can play against other players & I did easily earn some VIP perks even temporarily. but this is one of those games where at the end of every single lvl you either choose to watch an ad or they're going to make you watch an ad anyway. sometimes in order to play a level you have to watch an ad. So over the course of two days and 20 lvls, ad time was over half.
The game is fun. Very fun. I especially like the PvP in multiple formats. However, the game is not balanced. Coins are useless and not spent on anything except upgrades, which either slow to a crawl or cease after a while. And the biggest problem of all is that the three best units are only unlockable by spending $100. You cannot get to them except by purchase and not through gameplay. So frustrating 😫!
ok ok. I get it. you don't want players anymore after certain levels. I get it. you put tall barriers between me and the high powered machines. and the opponents? you guessed it. they have clear paths to that same machine. you get put in increasingly disadvantageous positions the higher level you get. This alone will not make me keep the game
