Been using Ductulator – Duct Sizing Chart for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps HVAC engineers and contractors figure out the right duct sizes for their projects. Pretty solid if you’re into that kinda stuff.
Here’s what you can do – there’s a design mode where you just put in the max friction rate or velocity, and it’ll give you a list of suitable duct sizes. Real handy for planning new systems. And then there’s a sizing mode where you can adjust the dimensions and airflow and it’ll show you the friction and velocity. Basically a digital version of those old duct sizing charts.
Look, if you’re an HVAC pro, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job and saves you from having to dig out those bulky manuals. Worth checking out if you work on duct systems.
