So here's my honest take on Homicide Squad: New York Cases. I've tested a bunch of hidden object and puzzle games, and this one's pretty solid. The gameplay loop of searching for clues and solving match-3 puzzles is really addictive, and I found the crime stories to be genuinely engaging. And where it falls a bit short is the repetitiveness - after a while the puzzles and crime scenes start to feel samey. And the monetization is a little aggressive, with ads popping up constantly. But if you don't mind the occasional interruption, it's a fun time-killer that'll keep you hooked for a while.

Pros

  • Tons of strategic depth with the hidden object and match-3 puzzles
  • Crime stories are surprisingly compelling and well-written
  • Looks great and runs smoothly even on older phones
  • Free to play, don't need to spend money to enjoy the full experience

Cons

  • Gets a bit repetitive after playing for a while
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay to remove them
  • Progression starts to feel grindy at higher levels

Description

Been playing Homicide Squad: New York Cases for a couple months now. It’s basically a hidden object puzzle game where you team up with a couple wisecracking detectives to solve crimes in the big city. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you comb through crime scenes looking for clues, then use your detective skills to piece together what happened. And there’s also a bunch of match-3 puzzles you have to solve – it’s like Candy Crush but with a detective twist. And the storylines are actually pretty engaging – you’ll get sucked into trying to figure out who the bad guys are.

Look, if you’re into puzzle games or just like a good mystery, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out for sure.
