So here's my take on Pokémon Quest. I've tested a bunch of mobile Pokémon games and this one's a pretty solid entry. The cube art style is super charming and it's an nice change of pace from the typical Pokémon games. And the battles are simple but there's still some strategy in building the right team. And I like how there are tons of Pokémon to collect without having to spend money. But it can get a little repetitive and the upgrade system is a grind. Overall though, I'd say it's worth checking out if you're a Pokémon fan looking for a casual, cute adventure.

Description

Been playing Pokémon Quest for a couple months now. It’s basically a super cute Pokémon game where all the Pokémon are turned into little cube characters. The goal is to explore this island called Tumblecube and find awesome treasure. You build up your team of cube Pokémon and take them on expeditions to battle wild Pokémon. The battles are pretty simple – you just tap the screen to attack. But it gets more strategic when you have to decide which Pokémon to bring on each mission.

There’s a ton of Pokémon to befriend and add to your team, which is really fun. You can use the items you find to level them up and make them stronger. And the graphics have this cool minimalist vibe that I’m really digging. Looks great even on older phones.

Look, if you’re a Pokémon fan, you’ll probably enjoy this a lot. It’s not super deep or anything, but it’s a solid casual adventure game. Gets a little repetitive after a while, and the upgrade system can be grindy, but overall it’s a pretty good free-to-play game.
