Been playing Heian City Story for a couple months now. It’s basically a city-building game where you travel back in time and try to build up the greatest town in ancient Japan. There’s a ton of stuff you can do – attract new residents, add traditional buildings like temples and teahouses, and even summon guardian spirits to defend your city from ghosts and demons.
The gameplay loop is really addicting. You’re constantly trying to expand and improve your town, and there are even clan battles where you team up with friends to take down rival cities. It’s got a cool traditional Japanese vibe that I’ve been digging.
Look, if you’re into strategy and city-building games, you’ll probably get a kick out of Heian City Story. It’s not perfect – the upgrade system can be a bit grindy at higher levels and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a pretty solid time-waster that’s free to play.
