So here's my take on This War of Mine: Stories Ep 1 - I've tested a bunch of strategy games and this one's up there with the best of 'em. The core gameplay loop of scavenging, crafting, and defending your group is really well done and super addictive. And the story mode is surprisingly emotional and thought-provoking. Sure, it's got some issues like slow progression and intrusive ads, but the overall experience is strong enough to make up for it. If you're a fan of strategy games with a dark, mature theme, I think you'll really dig This War of Mine.

Description

Been playing This War of Mine: Stories Ep 1 for a couple months now. It’s basically a strategy game where you have to survive a war-torn city. You gotta scavenge for supplies, craft items, and make tough choices to keep your little group alive. There’s also a mode where you can team up with friends in a clan and raid other players’ settlements. It’s pretty addicting honestly.

The story mode is really well done – it’s got an emotional narrative about a father trying to protect his daughter during the conflict. There’s a lot of tough decisions you have to make, and it can get pretty heavy at times. But it’s not all doom and gloom, there are also moments of hope and humanity.

Look, if you’re into strategy games and don’t mind a bit of a challenge, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a solid experience and I’d recommend checking it out.
