So here's my honest take on Age of Apes. I've tested a bunch of strategy games on my phone and this one's pretty solid. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older device. And there's a ton of strategic depth with all the base building, troop training, and clan battles, but it doesn't feel overwhelming. The free-to-play model is also done well - you don't need to spend money to enjoy the core experience. My main gripe is that the progression gets grindy at higher levels, and the constant ads can be annoying if you don't pay. But overall, if you're a fan of this genre, Age of Apes is definitely worth checking out.

Description

Been playing Age of Apes for a couple months now. It’s basically a post-apocalyptic strategy game where you build up your own monkey village and battle against other players. Pretty solid app if you’re into that sort of thing.

Here’s what you do: you start by managing your own outpost, upgrading buildings and training troops. There’s also a clan system where you can team up with friends to take on rival groups. And you can even launch rockets into space to search for precious bananas! Took me a while to figure some of that out but it’s a pretty cool feature.

Look, if you’re into strategy games and don’t mind a little competitive multiplayer, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and the ads can get a little annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking for your next mobile gaming obsession.
