So here's my honest take on Chess King - Learn to Play. I've tested a bunch of chess apps and this one's pretty solid. The courses are well-made and cover a ton of strategic depth without being overwhelming. And the tactical puzzles are challenging but the hints and explanations are super useful. My only real gripe is that the progression can feel slow, especially at higher levels. But if you're willing to put in the time, it's a great way to improve your chess skills.

Description

Been using Chess King – Learn to Play for a couple months now. It’s basically a chess education app with courses covering tactics, strategy, openings, and more. Pretty solid if you’re into improving your chess skills.

Here’s what you do: there’s a bunch of different courses split by skill level, from beginner to advanced. You can work through interactive lessons, do tactical puzzles, and even get feedback when you’re stuck. It’s got a theory section too that explains chess concepts in a straightforward way. Took me a while to get through all the content but it’s been really helpful.

Look, if you’re trying to take your chess game to the next level, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job of being an interactive chess coach. Worth checking out for sure.
