So here's my honest take on Tropical Resort Story. I've tested a bunch of these sim/management games and this one's actually pretty solid. The graphics look great, it runs smooth even on my older phone, and there's a good amount of strategic depth without being overwhelming. And the best part is it's free to play - you don't need to spend money to enjoy it. But it does have its issues - the progression can get grindy at higher levels and the ads can get old quick if you don't pony up for the premium version. Still, if you're looking for an addictive little time-waster, this is worth checking out.

Description

Been playing Tropical Resort Story for a couple months now. It’s basically a simulation game where you develop this island resort from scratch. Pretty addictive if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do – you start off with just a empty beach and over time you build up accommodations, restaurants, shops, and all sorts of amenities to attract more tourists. There’s also this cool fishing mechanic where you can place plants and rocks in the ocean to improve the water quality and attract new fish. Took me a while to figure that one out but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you’re into simulation/management games, you’ll probably get a kick out of this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it’s a solid time-waster that lets you live out your tropical resort owner fantasies.
