Reviews for Apollo Neuro

← Back to Apollo Neuro

I've had this device for almost 2 years now, and I love the concept and it... When it works.I regularly have to spend 5+ minutes trying to get it to connect, which I don't have most of the time. For an expensive device that has a great concept behind it, they really need to hire a new app developing team. For a tool to manage stress, this is there straw that breaks me some days--feel the stress bubbling up, then try to use a tool I have, and it doesn't work. Do better, Apollo Neuro.

The app is awful. It only sporadically connects. It's been 3 years and they still haven't improved it. You can set favorites, but it doesn't default to them so I have to set the time and intensity I want every time. The scheduling works occasionally, but is not at all reliable. On top of that, I paid $350 for this. Any new features they add are locked behind a subscription service. Fix what you have and add features that everyone who has put up with this can use.

I, like others, have been impacted by the recent update which seems to have damaged the ability to connect with an Android phone. However, my Apollo has zero issue connecting to my iPad and the iOS app actually works great (average rating in the 4's). So at least I can still use my Apollo at home. I hope this gets resolved for the Android soon. 2 stars because the device itself is great, but I'm frustrated that it can be rendered completely inoperable by a bad app update.

I'm really frustrated with this app! I've had the Apollo Neuro for a couple of years and upgraded to SmartVibes when it came out. I've had numerous issues with connectivity over the past two years. But, now it's horrible. The device isn't recognizing when I'm asleep, and it's activating "sleep" modes when I'm awake. In addition, SmartVibes just isn't working. I've contacted tech support several times and have not received a solution.

Feels like I'm on the fast track to forced obsolescence. Everything worked mostly fine, a year ago, when I bought this. Then came the 2.0 and app update. Since, it has taken at least three tries to connect to the device, every single time I want to use the controls. Lately, it's been more like six. This time, it took a phone restart, attempted device reset, 12 hours of intermittently watching loading screens... It finally worked when my toddler found it and started mashing the buttons randomly.

This is my second Apollo device and side from the shorter battery life, it works as well as my first one did. The app however, doesn't seem to work as well. It takes longer to connect to my device, and it has to reconnect if I change the vibe while I'm wearing it. Also, it doesn't show how long one vibe has been running accurately. I can set a vibe to run for 1 hour, and I will notice that I didn't feel the vibration anymore, but the time on the app only shows about 5 minutes.

I've been using the Apollo Neuro with an Android for several years I've been using the Apollo Neuro with my Android device for several years and I've noticed a significant improvement with the App. The Focus Program on the Apollo (one of the default programs) can eliminate a lower-grade migraine if I catch it early enough. The Social program helps me enjoy being around ppl when I don't want to. and I like that I can create a schedule so that certain programs run at certain times.

The concept works, it does relieve stress, calms, and relax into sleep. My issue and reason for 2 stars is battery life and I paid for the membership, that doesn't work in the app. It tells me I have to update, but im already on the updated app. constant emails with lower membership costs is annoying. the cost is too high for the poor app.

I've never dealt with a less consistent Bluetooth device. It fails to connect, disconnects, fails to start "vibes" programs, stops them randomly while the app says they're running, runs them while the app says they're paused, and is generally too inconsistent to be reliable for regular use. It can take north of five minutes to get something done that should take two taps.

I had high hopes for this device and the app. Unfortunately I will never know whether the device itself is beneficial because the app is complete garbage. Constantly crashes, becomes unresponsive, glitches, error codes, etc, etc. I wanted this to work, but I have to return it (ironically the whole experience did the opposite of what this device advertised).

connectivity still has issues. seems from reviews to be an ongoing issue. I have found closing and reopening the app will usually fix it, sometimes takes more than once. hopefully this won't be an issue when 2.0 is released. also, would be nice to have a watch app to connect and be able to quick launch the program, maybe something that they can work on later. only on day 4/5 so will update this if anything changes.

So I find it very sad that the Apollo device is great, but it depends on the WORST APP in history. The app is very unstable, never stays connected to the device, and it has false information like free subscription trial banners on it. Is the app developer a family member that cannot be fired??? I can see from other people's reviews that the same problems have been persisting for years, and it's not getting any better. Too bad a good product is suffering because of a horrendous app.

(STILL INFURIATING: 😡 I upgrade everytime: at 4.0.0 now... Still NOT connecting via Bluetooth without long waits and re-trying—AGAIN! For YEARS this problem!) 8/12/25 UPDATE: It takes too long to try to connect. Then NO connection. And again, and again. Of course, I reset the device as well. And still the problem persists. WHY CAN'T THEY GET THIS RIGHT?! SO DISAPPOINTING! When it works, I love the device, but I didn't pay hundreds $ for wellness tech for such an annoying user experience!

I've been rather disappointed with this product. when it works I feel that it has very positive affects on my mind and body. the problem is that most of the time I can't get the device to connect to the software, even with the new update. sI spent many days with technical support but nothing resolved the problem. hopefully there will be a real serious resolution to this problem. but until then I won't recommend this to friends or family. it's a pricey investment for something that works only 10%

Near constant connectivity issues Excellent product idea, poor execution. Nearly every time I opened the app it showed my device as not connected, even when it was actively vibrating and clearly running a program. I had to manually reconnect my device daily (either connect, longer "recover" mode, or full factory reset). Ten days into using the device it needed a second firmware update and would not run any vibes until I plugged it in and updated the firmware... could not reconnect. I gave up.

Just today this popped up an Android pairing request on my phone when the device had trouble connecting to the app. Now it seems to be connecting better. However, I was looking at the Premium Vibes upgrade, which said it was a free trial for one month and THEN AFTER the trial, it would charge me for the annual subscription. I clicked that it was okay, and it charged me NOW for a yearly subscription!!! Very wrong. I've requested a Google Play store refund. That seems fraudulent.

I really wanted this to work. When it wasn't crashing, it really seemed to. I just spent an hour resetting it, my phone, my Bluetooth (all other connected devices at the time worked flawlessly) finally it started working - then stopped. The band is absolutely atrocious as well. Such a shame, as it worked so well the first day, I was bragging everywhere and planning on purchasing 8 as gifts for Christmas. The reviewers on YouTube must've had these issues, and lied about them. Shame.

I adore it and struggle to sleep without it after using it for several months. it helps me calm down during panic or travel (which is really hard on me and my anxiety). I wish the paid program was cheaper (I haven't tried it). $100 a month is a bit steep when the thing costs almost $300. I hope that changes or they at least offer discounts it is difficult to connect sometimes, and I think mine struggles on the sleep setting where it feels more like it's on an energy setting and I have to reset

Used to work well. After period of not using it, tried to use it again. Device refuses to update, tried EVERYTHING mentioned for trouble shooting, nothing worked. When I reached out to support, I was told to do exactly what I had told them I had already, argued every chance they had, and ultimately provided horrible support and NO SOLUTION. And now the subscription doesn't work. Terrible app, bad support, and a company with no integrity.

LOVE Apollo in general and I give the device itself 5 stars! It has really helped me regulate my nervous system and I am so grateful! The 4 stars is for the app itself and the connection with Apollo - when the app works well it is great and I love the sleep tracking, but when it doesn't work smoothly it is a pain. I have had to troubleshoot connectivity more than once, and the Bluetooth connection is often slow. If the app connected faster to Apollo I would give it 5 stars!
