Great pads but shuts off when in the background. I run it on my tablet and I split screen between music stand and auto pad and it has shut off midway through our Sunday set for a month straight. No matter if it's in the foreground or background it shuts off mid set everytime. Super frustrating because the interface is awesome, the pads are gorgeous and the fader works so dang well, but it's basically unusable because it shuts off mid service
Reviews for AutoPad — Ambient Pad Loops
← Back to AutoPad — Ambient Pad LoopsThis app is exactly what I was looking for. Great sounding pads and beyond easy to use. Having the large key buttons to start and stop the audio is just icing on the cake. Thank You!!!
Nice sounds! I would like to see better midi integration where i could assign the knobs on my launchkey mini to change filters or even better to be able to use songbook pro as midi source to change the chords and filters. Keep up the good work!
Seems good so far. I'm not sure why the playlist are so complex. I expected it just just change the sound and key, but you have to "play" it and can't change any settings while in that mode. I think It simply changing the main page but maybe there's a reason I'm not getting.
This app is absolutely amazing. I use it alongside playing pianos and pads live as an extra ambiance. I love bringing it in maybe in second verse or going into the different sounds and going from Default to Cathedral at the end of the song to really kick up the intensity. It's another paint brush and color to add to the artist's pallete
Great app for practicing Jaw Harp overtone pitch changing. Would be amazing if we could set up a "song" that would automatically switch to another drone pitch to practice pitch changes. I also use this for my harmonica to find tune my reed bending, especially helpful for full step bends!
I like the app but there is this annoying steady click I keep hearing as if its keeping time, like a metronome, this is really annoying please can this be fixed. And also it would be nice to be able to add your own sounds to it as well. Overall its a neat resource but that metronome sounds needs to go please.
Very nice app easy to use. One hopeful suggestions: It would be incredible if you incorporated a way to upload backing tracks into the set list page. One song may need pads, the next song could use a baking track. This would be great for live performances.
This is a cool app and works for the most part. What doesn't work is the midi feature. I have the exact controller in one of his tutorial videos and followed what he taught to the letter and nope. The midi functions don't work. I then tried another controller and discovered the same thing. What a bummer.
Excellent intuitive app with varied options for customization. The only issue that I have encountered is that I cannot access the two bonus sounds or any of the other in-app sound bank purchases. This is the case on both Nokia T20 tablet and Pixel 8a android devices. Hopefully someone will advise as the extra sounds would be well worth the investment.
Each pad has a random pop too it. I've restarted the phone (s10+) but no luck. So, can't use it. 10/01 Update : Plugged my phone into the sound system on air plane mode + do not disturb via head phone socket and all was OK. I was hearing the pop when just using the phone speaker. Didn't get time to see if it's just a phone speaker issue or not.
Great user friendly app! Love that the click and pads can be panned to be able to be used in dual mono via a splitter. That way, the band can have click and/or pads in our IEMs, while FOH only has pads going EDIT: I have to give credit where credit is due. This develepor has bee super quick to tackle any suggestions I have had, and updates have had all of those suggestions. Bravo to AutoPad!
We already use the iOS version which has been great! Got this on an Android device while the discount was on, and my only issue so far was little occasional "pops" that come up in the pads, and everytime you switch between pads or fade out. EDIT: Thanks for your reply - I've sent an email
Really great app. Would be cool if you could import your own sounds for the click, or had options like the pads ("needs more cowbell"). Would also be nice if there was a tap tempo feature. I am having this weird cracking sound whenever I play the pads (only does it with bluetooth headphones), never had this issue on the iOS version.
This is an absolutely amazing app! It has a highly expansive range of different sounds, and all of them are high quality and very usable in different situations. The only bug I have noticed is that the pad stops working if you change output device while it is playing, and I had to restart the app, but that is a very minor complaint and doesn't greatly affect its usability. I will definitely be using this app lots in the future!
The app is great because it was recommended by a friend every sounds good. however I cannot save edits the tick or the x at in line with my bottom menus on my phone so if I make and edit only part of the tick to save is showing. I'm not disappointed but it's something to highlight my phone is a OnePlus 10-T so to try give an example the ☑️. and ✖️ are behind the frame / border i have to turn the phone to landscape which allow me to edit
Has a good selection of pads. Can adjust some of the sounds in the pads. Comes with manual and some advanced features. Can purchase some additional sounds.
I've been using this for over a year and found it very useful as a solo guitarist. You need a volume-pedal to go between your phone and the amp, so that you can subtly control the level. I had to "fake" a pair of headphones on the speaker jack because the Motorola phone tries to identify what's plugged in and didn't seem to like the pedal. But once I got the hardware working it has been fine. The chords don't contain a third interval, so you can use them with songs in a major or minor key.
this app is really good, but I think that is not complete. I think that the app needs an option to save the music without saving a playlist. Normally we don't have a playlist to every reunion in our church, we just select music's. If the developers insert this option in the app, that will help everyone
Absolutely love the pad sounds, especially the "Grainscapes" add-on pack. Other features such as control over the crossfade time and reverb are also very helpful. I am confused about the setlist mode however. I assumed a"song" would let me add multiple pads/notes and be able to step through them. It allows only a single note... It would be a great addition to allow a sequence of notes, even groups of notes for intro, verse, chorus, bridge and outro. Or perhaps the ability to setup loops.
