sounds like it would be a great app but as usual they have to charge you for it. it's expensive enough with all the medications for diabetes then having to pay for an app too. if they really wanted to help people out should be free
Reviews for GoCoCo: Healthy Food Scanner
← Back to GoCoCo: Healthy Food ScannerI am learning a lot by using the GoCoCo app.
do not install this app. I signed up to do the free trial and within the first day I decided I didn't like the app so I canceled it. well they still charged me for the app.
I'm not into the nutritional value, but I do care about the ultra-processed foods. It only has the most famous brands in their database, but that's fine by me too. Really helpful. Great app and hopefully will get better with time! Much better than "Yuka" app.
It's a very good app, and I really hope it will expand to the UK. A lot of items are missing, and I'm unable to subscribe, which I assume is because I'm in the UK. I like how better alternatives are suggested and think search function of these would be great.
just downloaded it and tried to use it. it shuts down everytime I try to scan a barcode.
I really like the app. it's helping me keep meals tracked. my only complaint is thr end of the day analysis, I have yet to be able to see. it crashes the app each time
Had to download and create account to find out that only 1 week is free.
It seems easy to adjust your description of food items
I didn't find a way to enter quantities such as crackers. Does anyone really only eat 1 cracker. I contacted support but have not received a reply. I want to cancel my subscription!
Still learning this app. I find it helpful. The tracker allows you to enter your meals with a photo or a scan or by search. I would like it to save my meals to a list where I can select them again.
App seems to be ok but membership is $69.99 instead of the $49.99 listed in the app
Very hard to use and NOT very informative. I wish I would have never paid for this. Update, I emailed the developer to request a refund.
This is a game changer with targeted AI (recognizes foods on plate in photos) helping you to turn the page on poor diet choices. Wondering why you developed pre-diabetes symptoms when you are "the carefullest eater you know"? This UPF educator is (I believe) the game changer for that.
just started but seems to have a ton of info readily available all at once. You don't have to keep looking up for for comparisons.
I loved the app at first, great convenience to take pictures and then edit. however the top of the screen now has a double exposure not allowing photos to be accepted. in addition you don't have a manual entry option for homemade food and the lists of prepared foods in the catalog can't be adjusted. I will come if you can come back if you can fix these things.
Downloaded to better manage my prediabetes, the GoCoCo app leans heavily on users to consume more whole foods vs the processed stuff. With that in mind, I can't wrap my head around GoCoCo's rating system. While some of the "keto-friendly" products I've used score low in nutritional value and even threaten to spike my blood sugar, ultra-processed, high-carb foods (e.g. Cheerios) score 10/10. After adjusting my diet to the app's suggestions, I've decided the path I was on is the way to go.
Super happy with app. I like that I don't have to track anything by hand. I just have to take a picture. I am not a fan of veggies but the app has encouraged me to add more to my diet. It has informed me why upf is so bad for me. I love the encouraging and non shaming messages even if I make bad choices. I like that it doesn't expect perfection. I like that it encourages as well as educates. It makes me want to do better. The app has been a great tool for my health.
Hi, I was charged for a GoCoCo subscription but canceled the next day when I realized I didn’t intend to keep it. I haven’t used the service beyond initial setup, and I’d really appreciate a refund since the cancellation was immediate after billing. Thanks for your help.
Sadly there is a hidden fee that you aren't told about upfront. luckily I don't have a credit card on my Google account or it would automatically bill. not only that if you actually make your own food you have to enter the ingredients separately. I loved the idea but not worth the hassle to actually track my food this way. I guess if you only buy pre made food this would be more useful.
