Update: since the beginning of June this app has been pretty much useless as it won't even load. The amount of times I have Uninstalled and re-installed this app trying to get it to load is a ridiculous number. So disappointed! This has seriously saved my well being. I have a hypermobility disorder. I spent 6 weeks last year bedridden from pain. They are small, manageable, and customizable exercises. I can play with my kids again!
Reviews for Hinge Health
← Back to Hinge HealthHinge health has been an awesome app to utilize! I'm exercising, breathing, and learning what I need to improve my body and health. I can go at my pace and can select exercises as well. There is good communication from the physical therapist and health coach. They are always a message away. Also, I was able to obtain some free items that made things easier while exercising and also help my pain. Thank you Hinge Health for a great program!
I love the exercises they give. They are gentle and tailored to your needs. You can message your coach or physical therapist any time, and they will get back to you within a day. Consistency is key, so keep moving! You can also et them know if a particular exercise is too difficult or too easy so they can adjust it for your next workout. I love that they also have a list of other exercises you can do. Plus, they have lots of informative, short articles tailored to your situation.
Excellent App. I highly recommend it. Helps you structure your exercises and PT sessions to your specific needs. tracking progress is great, communication with and support from PT and Health coaches are very beneficial. App also gives additional info and exercise routines that you can add and vary as needed ( with clear level of hardness shown for each routine). Reminders ( email) are very useful and the free equipment provided early in the program is really very useful.
I love this app. It is great for getting you into a routine to address your pain points. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because 1) I can only get reminders for one program; I want to be able to set up reminders for multiple programs, 2) it does not automatically resize on my Samsung Fold 6 so I always have to restart the app if I want to change my screen size, and 3) there doesn't appear to be integration with Health Connect.
Pretty straightforward so far. Used for a week now. Update: 5 months in and still enjoy it. Haven't been as consistent due to life events, but it's always ready for me with the right amount of encouragement, moderately challenging exercises and useful articles. I can always see my progress. I stand by my 5 stars. Great for low impact but meaningful improvements. There are options to adjust intensity up or down because there are regular check-ins.
Phenomenal app for any physical therapy, arthritis and joint pain! it's FREE if you can get the app from your company and it's like having a physical trainer there with you! I have been using this app for years. I'm only 46 but have had a severely broken/smashed ankle and I'm still using the app even though I'm also seeing a trainer now! great app! great personal experience. great trainers. they show you how to do the exercises properly and can even watch you do it! good all around.
I've downloaded a dozen or more times and it always opens with a blank screen. why? I asked for tech help, they sent me a free tablet. That's nice and works well. But it's inconvenient to have to use it. I have my phone all the time, not the tablet. It's too big and the workouts require standing, sitting, moving. Also the "administrator" on the device is, Hinge. I can't turn off location setting. Honestly it would, be much easier on my phone. I get text messages with links, and they won't open.
I have 2 feedback - 1. The audio and the video are completely opposite. When the video does right side of exercises, then audio is suggesting to do left side of exercises. 2. Session progress is not preserved, I got a call during exercise and whole of my progress was lost. It would be great if users could resume back from where they left.
I'm not a person that likes to exercise but with their phone reminders everyday it motivates me to do their short exercises whereas if I was going someplace I might put it off. because they have the video of people doing the exercises it's almost like someone is there working with you. have been doing exercises for a couple of months and even though they're only short exercises that don't take much time. I've noticed more flexibility in my shoulders if you have questions doctors get back to you
This WAS an excellent app, but now it's kinda junk. I don't know exactly what happened, but I'm not able to contact the Coach anymore and the Home Screen has radically altered itself after I switched from Back Exercises to Neck Exercises. I don't know what exactly happened, but it's a real pain to use now. Also, when doing the Exercises, trying to follow along is very difficult as one moment it would be working perfectly, then get choppy, and/or just switch back to the beginning of the exercise.
This is the very best app of its type. I highly recommend HH to anyone wanting to avoid surgery. The support team is exceptionally good, always available, and responds quickly to questions. I have specific needs for my low back and they provide targeted stretches and strength exercises. If you do the sessions in progression, you will get noticeable improvements in strength, balance, and overall fitness.
The customized program is flexible and progressive, designed for your specific problem area. You can schedule reminders for your preferred time of day to complete the short workout. There are add-on exercises for when you have more time and want to work on other areas or repeat your daily list. I have been enjoying the program for my knees for more than 2 years. I am pain free most of the time but if I have a flare up, can add extra days which usually settles things down quickly.
This app is excellent. It is gently getting me moving, and the support is great. I have been very surprised and happy with how the exercises really do help with the areas I am working on for pain. I am not the best at getting started, but even the little I do makes me feel better and want to do more. BONUS: If you stop for a while, even a long while, they welcome you back with open arms and more encouragement. Update: Keeping on keeping on. I love this app and the coaches.
It's not often I give a five-star. But this, the app and the pelvic for exercises have changed my life for the better. I have also gained general overall strength with the rest of the program. If I have a question, I usually receive an answer in less than 12 hours. You talk to real physical therapists, online or with a call.
I love the various exercises. Don't judge it based on your first experience because more exercises are unlocked as you increase in levels. I'm a bit biased against working with professionals through an app. This works against me because I haven't even called them to make appointments. I have used the app to communicate with them here and there and it works okay. I think someone who didn't have the bias would have much more success interacting with the professionals.
I love the Hinge Health app. I have been using it for about five years or so now. I speak highly about it to friends, family, strangers, and my doctor! 10 out of 10, I highly recommend! 💯 it's easy to use and convenient. They first they sent me a tablet with sensory belts to make sure you do the exercises correctly. Later, it evolved to the app on my cellphone. This allowed easier access and the freedom of doing this whole on the go! Coach, Kelly, I am assigned to work with is amazing.
Great for all types of issues. Alongside the exercise assigned by the therapist, there's a library of exercises for all sorts of things. I'm improving my back pain issues along with strengthening my knees for arthritis pain. And the therapist and aide keep up with you and connect every so often in case you want to change up or feel like it's not progressing. Great app
So far I'm really enjoying the exercises that this app has led me through. I've only been using it for a week, which hasn't been long enough to have incorporated Hinge Health into my routine. It doesn't help that this app refuses to send me notifications, even though I've enabled those permissions and scheduled the reminders more than once. I have to use a calendar app for my reminders, which is unfortunate.
This app has changed my life. I have more flexibility and less pain, and I'm noticing an uplift in my mental health, which is a nice, unexpected side effect. I have an assigned coach who is super helpful, motivating, and empathetic, and I have an assigned PT who helps adjust my exercises as needed. I also love the articles they put out after every session. They're super helpful and informative! They help you set goals and help keep you on track in positive ways!
