looks ok but does not support watch steps other than exporting from Google fit and importing into the app. it's a hassle. it only registers paces recorded by the phone. Wearable integration is a must for these types of apps. for a bit more money I got the Huawei health app pro version which has everything incorporated, including calorie monitoring, workout suggestions and pairs with the GT watch perfectly. Even the free version gives basic wearable integration.
Reviews for StepsApp – Step Counter
← Back to StepsApp – Step Countersince I downloaded this app the thing refused to open like how will I use my data to download this app and the app refuse to open I'm already frustrated pls u guys should resolve this problem immediately................
Loved this app at first but it randomly stops counting your steps in the middle of the or doesn't count them at all, super frustrated with this, the CalApp isn't any better. Don't use these apps.
Ever since I changed my phone the app works only when it wants to work, sometimes, it tracks fine other times, even if I walk for hours it would show 0 steps and no matter what I do, I'm unable to make it work.
Useless app. You could be walking 300 steps and still don't show it. I keep on restarting my phone because it won't change the number. Setting up the step counter is stupid, it doesn't even help. Why put a feature when it doesn't even make the app better? Not recommended!
I think the app is more accurate than most because it truly counts each step and doesn't let you off easy, for example one and one half step is exactly that, not two steps it is strict and honest so it makes you strive for excellence. I really appreciate the app I use it everyday and every time I take a step.
I'm enjoying using this app. It would be good to have an option to set a weekly step goal instead of a daily goal. It would also be REALLY helpful to be able to manually add steps that you've done when the app was paused, froze, or was not with you.
highly recommended at my local community center kind of thing there's a pool and the whole upstairs gym with a big running track there's a big basketball gym and all kinds of different sports you can play there and I highly recommend this app because I literally got my gold with my custom gold for 500 steps literally in like 20 minutes highly recommend this app and great for exercise and great for your health and we need to download this app
Ads galore suddenly. I have been using this app for a long time but lately it has ads all over the place and a ridiculous subscription model to get rid of them. I was going to buy the pro version but it's a neverending suck on your wallet. Actively looking for a new alternative from a non scumbag developer!
This used to be a great steps app. However, since its last update, the app randomly shuts off and stops counting steps. It sucks when I've been walking around all day and want to check how many steps that I've gotten in, only to find that app has recorded 0 steps and only starts after I've opened the app. Very disappointing.
I was in love with this app until moments ago when it occurred to me that StepsApp stopped counting my last 2 hours of steps. Fortunately, my phone's built-in pedometer kept the count going, so I still have an accurate picture of how much I walked today (which is very important to me). I feel foolish for having recommended this app to as many friends as I did. We've been following each other's steps for weeks, and it pains me to have to report to them how wildly inaccurate the readout could be.
Bro, this is literally the jankiest app on my phone, only use it b/c my family uses it. Both me and my family have experienced it simply not counting, leaderboard will just disappear randomly, and every fix requires unisntalling and reinstalling (deleting all of my accumulated steps history). I think they just didn't design it to be cross-compatible with android, b/c my friends on apple have no problems with it. It's the simpest app in the world to design, fix it.
the app doesn't count steps. the ads aren't bad, and it's easy enough to use, but it just doesn't work. it doesn't matter if the app is open, screen unlocked, nothing it still doesn't count the steps. I walk at least 2 miles every day, and the app says I haven't moved since I downloaded it.
I tested this app out to see if it was the "best app for counting steps" as the developers claim it to be. I subscribed and everything. So, thinking that, because I have the pro version, I would get better, more accurate results. NOPE. NOT EVEN CLOSE. I took 20 steps to see if it would calculate it, and it didn't even move. So frustrating. It even has a mode where you can lock your screen and it will "still count your steps" — um, no. It didn't even record one step.
Works when it wants to. Two days now it randomly stopped tracking and one day it didn't track at allI didn't notice right away. What's the use of having a step tracker if I won't track or work properly. I had hopes with this app because it was easy to use and easy to keep track but will be uninstalling
Been using this app for over a year now, and no complaints until this week. Since the last update that changed the design a little bit, my app says "Yesterday" for the current day, and every day going back is also off by one. Weirdly, in the monthly view the days are correct. It has also stopped counting calories, and stays at 0 kcal no matter what I do. Rebooting didn't fix either issue.
Good overall, but annoying persistent notification. I have turned off all the notification settings in the app, but unless I block notifications at the OS level, it insists on showing me steps, calories, distance, and minutes and will not let me swipe it away. It's been a couple days of this, and I'm almost frustrated into uninstalling. I'll give it another couple of days and a reboot or two before I give up.
I like keeping track of my mileage; this is much easier than measuring and more accurate than estimating. I'm very happy to have it now. BUT . . . this app is running loud ads; the only to way to stop them is to turn off the phone. When you turn them on again, you have quickly hit the three vertical lines on the bottom which shows all open apps or the ad will blast you again. If you manage this, you can X out the window with the ad and reopen ita little later.
I heavily use and rely on this app for counting my steps. 80% of the time it has no problems. but for that other 20% it is full of bugs and glitches. sometimes it'll just stop counting your steps out of nowhere. there's a lot of updates that you need to keep up with. when I have it up to date it's usually fine. my only issue is is that when I put my phone in my pocket it doubles my step count. i have to hold my phone in my hand or slip in my waistband for accurate count. otherwise is good.
Worked awesome in the beginning. I use it for work, let it run in the background while my day went on. Recently, after only six months of use, it all of a sudden stopped recording. I'd pull my phone out mid day, and it would claim I'd only done 200 steps or nothing at all sometimes. I find it incredibly aggravating, as I literally got the app to count my steps. It won't do as advertised, but every time I open the app, BAM, a big ad asking if I want to upgrade to pro. After this? Absolutely not.
