Been playing New Star GP for a couple months now. It’s basically a retro-style racing game where you manage your own motorsports team. You get to develop your cars, plan race strategies, and actually get behind the wheel and drive. There’s a ton of depth here – it’s not just mindless racing.
Here’s what you do: You start off in the 80s and work your way through the decades, unlocking new cars and tech as you go. You can upgrade your team’s facilities, hire better mechanics, and tweak your race setups. And during the races, you’ll need to manage your tire wear, fuel, and more to come out on top. Took me a while to get the hang of it but it’s really satisfying when you pull off a big win.
Look, if you’re into management sims and retro racing, you’ll probably love this game. It’s not perfect – the progression can get a bit grindy at higher levels and the ads can get annoying. But overall, it’s a pretty solid package that scratches that itch for an in-depth racing experience.
